Convergence zone is setting up. Wind is now westerly.

Another fairly pleasant day in Scarborough. The morning was overcast with light rain but then during the afternoon the sun came out and it felt quite warm.

Temperatures very moderate (observations from Bridlington) with an overnight low of 14.0°C and a high of 17.6°C. Winds fairly light and humidity quite high in the 90’s % a lot of the time. Didn’t really feel humid though.

Bridlington MRSC last 24 hours weather including temperature, wind, visibility, humidity and atmospheric pressure

I have found the temperatures and weather very pleasant in Scarborough this week. The gentle sea breeze is nice too. I like the more stable mild temperatures and better weather than I usually get back home in Lancashire.

The east coast has a very moderate climate, with cool/mild summers, small difference between day and night maxima/minima but not a lot of rain, which I like. Not that interesting from a weather enthusiasts point of view but a lot of very pleasant, benign and useable weather.

Locals very friendly too.

A few spots of rain earlier but now cloudy and dry. A sad day but glad that our local weekly dance was held at Nantwich last night and we were able to celebrate a 'life well lived'. Now, although I too was born in King George VI's time, like Frost Hollow, I'm not old enough to remember anything about it, and it will seem odd to sing 'God Save our Gracious King' after all these years!

Could hear distant thunder from the cell over Liverpool yesterday at 6:15 pm so I’m counting that as another thunder day, the 4th consecutive one.

Getting good insolation today strong sunshine for past half hour. Got a few more hours of potential, let’s see what happens.

Just had a brief sharp shower with some large convective blobs of rain in it, all in bright sunshine too.  In every direction there are huge cumulus.

That’s a good sign.

Looks like a bulls eye for you looking at radar.

Wish I was in my new house now. Sea breeze ruining things this far west.

Had Worse. I missed it!  Late shift in work today, I saw the deluge of the downpour and sneaked a look at the radar, saw the strikes around Macc and my heart sank.  Out on my break at the moment, it's still looking juicy in every direction. Alas, won't be home till 7pm.
