Lots of heavy rain overnight but clear'ish skies currently and a lovely 7ºC

Chilly 5 degrees this morning, misty in the valleys, feels Octoberish!

I got a cracking view of this morning's Moonset from Whaley Moor looking west towards Sponds Hill, fortunately the clouds abated long enough here for a 2hr clear-window to get some good snaps. Also some photogenic fog & mist in the valleys behind me as the sun was coming up so the camera was swiveling back and forth on the tripod.

A decent enough day but a definite autumn feel to things now, even with the bit of warmth the sun still as left.

Hopefully it’ll not be long before dry fallen leaves are being blown about in the wind and hopefully not long after that until it is powder dry snow being blown about.

However some of the model output was hinting at a warmer period around St Martins Summer (third week of October) so hopefuly that comes off.

 showers about around Haverigg  near millom today quite sharp too

A bright day here with decent sunny periods throughout. It stayed dry for the most part, but we had the briefest of light showers around 18:00, not even of nuisance value it was that brief. A slightly chilly feel out today and a reminder that the season is marching on. A maximum temperature of 13.8C.

Min of 6° and currently just nudging 13°.  Some cloud about but on the whole a lovely sunny morning, Begonias and Geraniums still adding a splash of colour.

Not a bad day today, downhill again tomorrow though but another good top up for the reservoirs.

Another decent day although coolish even in the sunshine.

a definite autumn feel to things now and a noticeable change in the colour of the leaves over the last couple of days.

just need a few hours of strong winds and some of the trees will be practically stripped bare.

A similar day to yesterday, plenty of sunshine and a slightly chilly feel when I was out and about late afternoon. A high of 14.7C.

A very non descript day, quite fine overall, calm and dry. Tomorrow set wet.
