Interesting developments in the sky but recent experience has told me this is meaningless, really

Looking a bit unstable and plumy looking east in luton, although probably just showers hope for the odd rumble later but probably nothing

Got a lot of stormy looking  cloud over me, have had on and off all day, not doing anything though. Going by where the is it a cold or warm front at the moment is, I think we are still in the warm air down here, but you can't tell unless the sun pops out.

Quite a sharp clap of thunder in Colchester out of a fairly ordinary cloudy sky. Quite unexpected.

It’s all elevated and so it may seem like your looking at normal sky.

It’s extremely elevated - just looks like a swathe of asperatus cloud - surprising it was able to churn out lightning to be honest

Almost certain i saw a flicker of sheet lightning whip across this but no thunder and nothing on the lightning detector, guessing they don't pick up all flashes? Or i was seeing things
