Cracking shelf cloud!

WOW! Just heard the loudest most shotgun-like thunder I've ever heard. Jesus.

HUNSTANTON.WEBCAM

Watch a live video webcam of the main beach and promenade in Hunstanton, on the North-West Norfolk coast, in the UK.

Wow!! 70-80 miles away you can see the flashes on the Hunstanton cam!

No rain yet but wind picking up. Flashes seemingly from all directions, revealing momentarily some amazing cloud structures. Am I dreaming? For once this hasn't avoided us and ended up clipping Kent. 😍

😁Nicely woken up by a couple of big strikes here in Bromsgrove...seems to have fizzled out now though...the Wychbold Masts always seem to earth storm activity around here! 👀

First distant lightning flashes over Stoke on Trent now seen here 😄 looks like I won't be needing the car tonight.

Right, time then for me to sit in daughter's old bedroom looking south.

First distant rumble - officially a thunder day (or thunder night) 🥳

I’m just laying in my bed and about to go to sleep but i’ve been seeing lightning outside my bedroom window from time to time and looking at the radar, it seems that’s all i’m going to get. But the wind seems to be picking up and getting more frequent

Seems to have gone quiet by me hoping there's more to come currently just heavy rain, its great to see some storm action further north instead of just confined to the south (no offence to anyone 🙂) lightning maps are lit up through the central belt of the country, hoping for more to crop up a bit further west

I was beginning to lose hope after what until tonight (apart from a single rumble at some point) has been a year devoid of thunder until now. What an epic storm it is as well. Well worth the wait.

Lightning detector just gone off 39 km. It’s going to be close.

Best storm of 2022 here.

Right overhead for 5 minutes.

Alarms going off locally

A CG strike and  instantaneous shotgun 'House rocking' thunder must have struck somthing like an explosion nearby.

Plenty of CC forks and CG forks.

Torrential rain.

7/10
