Unless I'm wildly off but here's the snaps for the tornado producing storm. Tornado seems to have been ~1530.

Things are getting a little more convective around these parts, hope for us later

A good livestream still not available on YouTube ... It`s a glitch somewhere in the system or a nut loose on the PC😅

I can't believe my luck these last couple of day's.😪

Loads of people in the country already having several day's of the odd bit of thunder and at least two days or nights of good epic storms and here I am still with absolute zilch!

Might of had a few rumbles from some heavy showers this afternoon but it's hard to tell as it was so infrequent and we get so many airliners high up in the sky flying past.

Wife had to stop with a few other cars on way back from MK, when that ‘zit’ on the radar passed over her. Apparently rain was so heavy the cars were crawling on a dual carriageway.

Some pictures of big cumulus/small cumulonimbus clouds I took yesterday evening which gave me a false sense of hope which I thought was going to be a sign for things later which they weren't. Didn't even see any faint distant flashes when it got dark even though these types of clouds were still about the place.

Wales has probably been one of the worst places to be for thunder in the country so far in this last couple of day's.

Quite frankly it's been appalling and i've never known to have so much bad luck of not getting anything even when all the forecasts keep giving us good chances for day's on end.

i'll take the tiny handful of flashes and thunder overhead 🙂
not enough time to get any good pictures (and it's a bit light...)  but i liked this storm rolling in (nowhere near as dramatic as other peoples pictures from yesterday!)

Yeah unfortunately a lot of those clouds look too shallow to be convective, maybe more for fair weather storms - like April showers?

but then skies around Blackpool last night couldn’t have been better… warm and humid - very clear instability… but 10pm came and there was just 1 nearby flash.

It was very poor.

If that single bolt had lasted four hours then I would have to admit that the Google forecast I saw was bang-on - but it didn’t 😔

The cells that keep popping up south of London are torrential. Couple of strikes and thunder from what just went over here in SE12.

Looking forward to the next few hours potential.

The thunder is constant but no visible lightning ☹️. I’ve maybe seen 2 flashes in the last 15 mins but no real form⚡️seen 🤷🏼‍♀️

Down in the far southeast it’s raining but not much else. I think there is still some potential left in the air though

So the storm that rolled through about 12:30pm Today turned out to be a supercell, and it even produced a funnel/Tornado, there were confirmed reports of a touchdown including some damage towards the Brading/Yaverland area.

Here is a time lapse from our very own local webcam, this is looking ENE from our Lake cam

Good Evening,

My near Neighbour.

Yes pretty torrential wasn't it.

Could just about make out some muffled Thunder, against the noise of the deluge.

Me and 'er indoors, are just off Burnt Ash Hill.

Hi Tom,

I think after missing the rain events in late August by meer miles, I think we're doing quite well now.

It's nice to see the green return to the parks and open spaces and see our park wildlife enjoying full lakes.

Hoping to get earlier potential tonight so as not to disturb little one in the middle of her night. Night before last was not good!

Hope you're both well and enjoying the seasonal weather 😊

Mark

It seems the storms today have a tornadic potential, I don’t think it will last onto the nighttime hours but we will have to wait and see, chances are if you want to see tornadoes I think just inland of the coast is a good place to start
