Enjoy! ❄️ Nothing here yet but red sky to my west 👀 Hopefully it sinks a bit further south 🤞

It's definitely sinking South, so hopefully you should see something.

Is another streamer forming around the Isle of Man and to its east?

Showers have developed between the Isle of Man blob and the main streamer.

Notice the Met Office symbols has snow up to 4pm but I take it with a truck load of salt

Are we expecting this to turn to rain like yesterday as the sun comes up shortly?

We’ve had one of them tiny coverings of snow that are so slight you can see the individual flakes on the floor. The main result of it is the cloud has raised the temperature considerably. It was -7 by about 9pm but then it started to cloud up which is a bit of a shame. It’s a relatively tropical -1 now. Everything looks very white, as if we had actually had a decent little covering of snow, but it’s 99% frost.

Yes seems a pocket of milder air thanks to the Irish Sea influence, currently 1 degree, and the light snow is on cold surfaces only, some roofs, car parks and roads devoid of it, shame temp not below freezing the snow would be covering everything. It may well drop if we can lose the cloud, signs it is moving up. Anyhow off to assist with Windermere Christmas celebration weekend, great weather, very pleased not a washout or stormy.

The biggest issue will be getting the ppn. Conditions are perfect for falling and settling snow for a few hours I would think.

It's definitely moving south....looks like it is snow too. We need it here before temps rise above freezing to get the  covering?  If the radar keeps up it should be within the hour.🤞

Light covering of snow here in Audenshaw, not much though. Was snow free up until 20 mins ago. Real shame that heavier streamer to the south didn't get here.

Patchy accumulations have settled here, on the higher tops there'll be a few cm from the overnight falls but aside from the C+F webcam it's difficlt to see with the low shower clouds obscuring the peaks.
