Drifts on Axe Edge 25ft.

Yikes. I'm planning on hiking up the Goyt later on in the morning which should make things interesting, still unsure whether to chance it over Long Hill (hoping it's still closed) or take the simpler route round the back of WhiteHall. Either-way it's been a good few years since we've seen drifts coming even close to those kind of depths.

Looks like that’s that.
Might have to rely on those decent returns heading down from the NE

Moderate snow giving a slight covering on the grass, cars & roof tops currently but not as good as other parts of the region. MO has S Cheshire down for snow till 9-10am.

Wow, so close to here as the crow flies…and there maybe a whole 1cm cover here.  It does look pretty, but a real let down sadly.

I ventured up to Nangreaves and the edge of the Moors at 250m for my early run.  Completely different there with drifting snow and stinging wind on bare running legs!  Even there only 5cm level snow, so not much, but some big waist high drifts.

all in all, better than nowt!

This event is worse than March 2013. The snow is that bad it has collapsed the garden shed under a drift. Tools and equipment flying round in the snow.

Sorry about your shed 😬

Not quite up there with March 13 in amount of snow but probably the best blizzard since.
