Fabulous sunrise this am, clear skies but a cool 3.8°C.  Needed the heating on when first got up to take off the chill.  Make the most of today if you can, horrible cold rain from the east incoming tomorrow am.

Yes, a much better start to the day than yesterday with clear skies, promises to be a fabulous day.

The "cloudy" high a distant memory now, with this the 3rd of 3 mainly sunny days after several days of grey stratus.

Need to make the most of it - just looked at the Met Office forecast for my location.  7 days from tomorrow, max temps mostly below 10c (for 5 days after just reaching 12c on Friday and Saturday), lots of cloud, plenty of rain and barely any sun.

Just back from 3 and a half fence panel painting endurance test.

Extremely gusty out in the garden. Cool in the wind, even with unbroken sun.

Friday looks like a day doing chores indoors.

Off to New Mills now to take my youngest swimming. Lovely views when its clear and sunny like today.

A fabulous day here, almost wall to wall sunshine all day and feels warm out despite the strong breeze. Current temp 15C.

Aye plenty of sunshine and blowing dust for my weekly few hours in Cheshire.

Hills look to be on fire to my NNW.

Plume of smoke is blocking the sun

The National Trust, which owns the site, said the first fire was fanned by strong winds.

Low of 6.5°C last night, heard the rain at 3am.  No rain here for now, more to come though, western coastal parts of the region may be the drier places to be today, slight chance of lightning for more southern parts.  Typical, I've an early finish from work today.  Currently 7.5°C.

Unlike last Friday, fingers crossed some of us could be on the right side of a wrong forecast today for a change. Low cloud has just cleared here to leave blue skies and the rain to the south doesn't seem, at the moment at least, to be nudging as far north as expected. I'd expected a bit of a washout all day so a pleasant surprise to see the sun stay for a bit longer.

Yes, rain is a tad further south than forecast.  Clinging onto some sun here, it is windy though.

Would have been a big disappointment in winter if it was a front from the SE coming into frigid air.  It is not just in winter precipitation can be mid-forecast, especially coming from less typical directions.

Yeah the last of the sun here now as the cloud fills in and the rain slowly makes its way north into the southern part of the region. Looks a tad wet there and with the  added wind its probably pretty grim. So far, still a better day than expected here but inevitably it will go downhill this afternoon.

TBH, it's not particularly wet ...yet .... here in the South of the Region. Cloudy and damp - yes, but nothing more.

Turned out to be a half-decent afternoon with patches of sun and no further rain.

A better morning than afternoon but no rain to speak of and it’s starting to brighten up again now.

just a shame about the wind as it’s certainly making things feel coolish.

Some heavy showers on and off until midday, been a bright sunny afternoon mainly, threatening skies at times but staying dry.  Not as bad as I thought it would be.

Dull as dishwater again now with the only bit of brightness being that it’s weekend👍
