[severe snowstorm]

That's a beast of a storm over the Welsh borders. Manchester storm really getting going as well. Shows the conditions are still good for storms, they could develop anywhere this evening.

I can see the lightning from Nantwich from that Welsh beast.

Lightning popping off every 10 seconds or so from the storm over Glossop. Decent show from here although rather silent.

There's potential for a lot more given the amount of instability. Wimpiest storm of the day in the UK and it's the one that hits us.

Lightning is very visible from here on the east side of a hill. Some very bright.

The lightning is really impressive. Miles away, bit really lighting up the sky towards the NE horizon.

Deep roll of thunder. Very different from all the rest.

Lightning every few seconds to my NE, cannot hear a single rumble of thunder though.
