21 here too. I've put trousers, long sleeve top and jumper back on

The damage is done. At 21c and dropping it's too cold now. Unless you go out gardening ...

That was my warmest temp of the year 3 days ago.

Edit: loads of distant thunder at the moment

Does anybody with more knowledge of the models know what the weather situation is going to be like in Cornwall this week? Obviously alot cooler than the SE but trying to decide whether to book a campsite on the North Coast (around Padstow / Tintagel area) or South Coast (Porthcurno area).

Every weather site I check seems to be showing quite different forecasts, no consensus on anything! Frustrating.

Arpege for the next 4 days

Except for tomorrow, the south west will be one of the warmest parts of the UK as the winds veer back to the east. Tomorrow is only cooler due to cloud cover.

I've only just seen that there is a warning out for rain down here.. why?

Storms over London are due to move west and give you a soaking, with perhaps some embedded lightning still.

It has nothing to do with what's going on with those storms.

Well then the forecast I watch ten minutes ago is well wrong.

BBC showing 32C tomorrow, mirroring the UKV model. I wonder if somewhere in Yorkshire could break tomorrow’s date record?

An area of heavy rain is expected to develop and move northwestwards across parts of southern and southwest England and the southern half of Wales during Sunday evening

Nothing to do with what's on the radar currently.

You are correct alexis..the storms loose intensity and merge to form a band of heavy rain moving west / north west...progression pretty obvious now if you check out the radar.

Looks like some serious storms knocking about according to the satellite! That mass over in the southern half bubbled up in no time!

That's got nothing to do with the rain warning in the south and southwest.

Read the warning text I provided in my other post.

I'll do it for you;

An area of heavy rain is expected to develop and move northwestwards across parts of southern and southwest England and the southern half of Wales during Sunday evening

So, by your logic, that area of rain will have to move south and start moving northwest again?

Storm still rumbling away here in SW London. Rain was more awesome than the thunder tbf. Nice surprise. Some good lighting shots from out at Heathrow.

This is mad! In North London not a drop of rain. This year's weather is crazy.

Well the forecast on TV said it was this line of storms that will effect the west. Probably wrong though, it was the BBC. We'll see as the evening goes on

Where have I said anything about the west?

It's parts of the south and southwest. It's pretty obvious that the rain on the radar cannot affect the warning zone that is here..

There a surface low that will basically push the whole lot towards you, your west of the low.

Ha ha. Brum? Not a chance

Saturday's maximum temperatures at Coleshill was 30 deg C.

These meteorologists might just know what they're talking about, y'know. That whole London-Cambridge-Birmingham corridor had highs of 29-31C.

I'm in the south, that area of rain is north of me, and moving nw..

That area of rain now, has nothing to do with the current rain warning down here.

Would be the 3rd day in a row with a date record!

Don’t think so. Tomorrows is 33 point something.

Actually it’s only 31.4C
