Weird radar presentation, looks almost like 2 cells clumped together rather than a supercell but it does look like its trying to hook, hopefully  someones infront.

Now raining over by me, small cell developed overhead.

Well sky is thick of clouds, slate grey and it's humid as hell.

Not sure if anything else will kick off here as looks like it'll just be heavy rain this afternoon but you never know.

Sun's still shining here.

Even with the hit and miss nature of storms, I'm surprised that I haven't even heard a distant rumble of thunder, which is a pretty low bar to reach with today's storm risk.

It's crazy and sickening how they explode at the coast lol

I think this was the cell (taken about an hour ago) that formed the storm just to my north now

Can hear thunder but it sounds very high up despite it being over on top of us

Probably a Typhoon jet.

There's nothing that close to Lincoln yet, but there's developments to your SW.

Hoping that squall line to the west keeps going or intensifies as it reaches where a lot of the cape is

Nah I think it's collapsing looking at the 16:20 radar update

Wondering when it's the South's turn (specifically central). Literally only heard one rumble of thunder and seen one heavy rain shower this entire year! The North/Midlands keeps getting these insane storms and the South remains bone dry 😞 Heard North is getting more storms next week as well.

Definitely not our year, so far! We need some classic plume set ups through July/August, or it's going to be a particularly naff year.

Looks like the squall to the West is struggling to produce lightning and is starting to look more like thundery rain than active cells, cold front has probs undercut it.

Distinct lack of height on the storms,  the cells near Hull and Newcastle seem to be the only ones that are growing with height.

Anyone got some observed soundings, would be very interested to see the dewpoint and instability values.

Wasn’t really prepared for the speed at which these cells are moving. Had no time record much at work, just lots of thunder and dark cloud bases
