of course we had the usual today....storm just too far south for us to enjoy, and then a storm just too far to the west for us to enjoy

looking forward to tomorrow when we'll get a storm just too far to the north and east for us to enjoy

Currently in Beesands down on the South Devon coast, seen lots of lightening out in the Channel, a few CGs too which were incredible. Storm has weakened now unfortunately although it's just started to rain. Hopefully more to come later tonight and tomorrow 🤞

Perhaps direct hit for exeter?

Though the storms and heaviest rain usually skim us and go into east Devon and Dorset but keeping my fingers crossed tonight is the night

Wow, just saw a distant flash on the skies horizon 😬 woo hoo, bring it on

Few decent flashes now looking south and east out towards Start Point and Torbay, looks to be getting second wind.

A few distant rumbles of thunder.

It's great compared to the absolute non-existent storm fest we've had for ages!

Yeah, I’m open to being surprised by a direct hit though. Probably more chance of winning the Euromillions jackpot 🤣

Watching that too - the rest started further south so maybe we get lucky?

I don't care that there is no storm forecast for sussex tonight or tomorrow.

My all time favourite storm occurred in July 2014, which was completely unforecast.

I live in hope that something unexpected crops up lol

I remember that, it was another MCs that came over from France, had the best shelf I've ever seen in the UK, although an overnight MCs a few years later definitely out performed this July 2014 one.
