The Peterborough storm cell is very slow moving on the radar, moving up from Bedfordshire toward Lincolnshire.

what’s interesting is the intensity of its core, purples and grey it would be of interest to see if anyone has spotted any funnel cloud activity down there.

any forum members in the south Peterborough area ? Would love a sitrep

Lo

I feel exactly the same. Fingers crossed. The activity down south does seem to be moving this way and @Ben Sainsbury is saying the Arome 9z model breaking out storms in the North Midlands shortly, which would be a good direction for us.

I got something from the TORRO website about the Severe Thunderstorm Watch in SE England.

TORRO is a privately-supported research body specialising in severe convective weather in Britain and Ireland

You can see that area arriving on radar, it's the stuff east of what already here, just getting into the channel. There thinking is, it might hit out 30⁰ and explode. Guess we'll see.

Automated weather forecasts are useless in these situations. Use the live weather radar to track any oncoming storms.

METEORADAR.CO.UK

Realtime satellite sun and cloud images updated every 5 minutes.

Extremely explosive on sat too, incredible. Just like in the states.
