At the moment the showers are coming in on a very slight north of west angle and we are right at the northern edge of the heavier ones but if the same angle is maintained then the larger area currently over the Irish Sea should be heading across Lancashire in the next couple of hours.

we’ve still managed a covering though, maybe a cm which is as much as I was expecting by this time and at the moment, everything falling is settling.

Intensity has pepped up a little bit now. I must look a right weirdo stood in the road taking a photo lol even though I was out with the dog.

Intensity has eased, gone back to the very fine snow it started with.  Nice covering though.  Cat and Fiddle road looks to still be open.

We’re slowly getting to the point where it will cause disruption (such is the infrastructure in our country but anyway). Looks like more than 5cm now bright echoes incoming, wondering how much we can achieve.

Can’t see any gritters out and the B6226 Horwich to Bolton road has not been touched and it’s got a good covering

As Kasim suggested - for the Wirral Coast we have done ok overnight. As to how long it stays as snow or transitions to Rain? looking to be a great 4 mile walk to work through the not so renowned snowy winter wonderland that is Birkenhead this morning!
