It's gone up from 8 to 10 degrees here since the rain eased off an hour ago. Positively warmfrontesque it is!

Whereas to the NW area of the LOW it’s now 3c.

Worst drive home in a long time. Roads flooded, torrential rain and when I drove over 200m it turned to snow.

Evaporative cooling at play for sure.

Another fail from Meto for this afters/eve.

Charlie boy on local news yday eve, showed rain affecting area south and east of Bristol. It's been chucking it down last 3 hours.

Awful conditions out there. Started here around 1pm and hasn’t stopped. Very persistent.

Must be very close to an Amber with the amount of rain we’ve had and the amount that’s currently still falling now.

I think there will be some items on the news tomorrow featuring our region following today’s rain.

Driving home from Bath to Warminster I’d swear it was trying to sleet but the temps were 5 deg C. Certainly the worst rain for a while. Roll on a cold dry spell.

Finally the rain has stopped. Drove to Trowbridge at 5pm and the lanes were already covered in surface water. Some houses in our village have flooded I believe and our lane is under a few inches of water. Fingers crossed it will have receded by the time the sun rises.

Was the Met Office yellow warning (including Bristol) not enough for you?

Not sure who 'Charlie boy' is but Ian Fergusson @fergieweather on the BBC Points West was clear about the warning and about the uncertainty over how far north the rain would get. Far from a 'fail'

Chaos around my village with 3 of the four routes out cut by flooding. Numerous cars abandoned......and raining again!

Reports of M3 closed due to flooding and main railway line from Basingstoke to Winchester blocked due to a landslip at Micheldever.

Just seen the M27 is closed for about 15 miles too because of flooding.

Yes it’s chaos locally, not as bad as last night but plenty of issues! Of course some of it has ‘absolutely nothing to do with new housing on floodplain fields next to rivers’ !!!!!!!!

Now it’s getting light, the full extent of the flooding caused by yesterday’s rainfall will begin to become clearer.

Latest report from the BBC Points West region:

Please please yesterday the last deluge for a while! I saw that corfe castle had flooding. Know that stretch well.

Overnight low of 1.9c. Looking ahead Tuesday for our region looks particularly cold.  Certainly an ice day for the moors.

Morning All, still some local flooding, but in the main things are moving again. The overnight low of 3.2°C at: 08:27 has risen to 6.0°C, RH95% with a light breeze in from the N, with some pleasant warming sunshine, to dry things out a tad.

Mostly sunny so far today. It’s been a long time since I’d have last been able to say that.

Nice to see a bit of sunshine this morning on my bike ride into work, feeling a little more chilly than of late but that is a good trade off from all of this incessant rain.

I am meant to be doing something in Tewkesbury tomorrow which is going to be interesting as the Town is near enough an island at the moment.

5.6 hours of sunshine today. That is the most hours since November 25th.

I power washed all of my  paths/patios today. They got very slippery with algae and slimy shizz growing.

A satisfying 4 hours!

Was nice to have a sunset with almost clear sky although the cloudier ones can be nice as proved one day last week. Also because of that it stayed light just that bit longer which was quite noticeable.

Hmm...need to do ours over next couple of days. Normally, do them once/year around mid-March/early April ready for Spring and Summer, but the wet few months since end Summer means they're bad and v slippy right now.
