Just started to snow again here, heavier than earlier and settling very lightly.

Gone very grey here too.

Nowt here, but it's got very dark as the cloud base seems to be lowering. Alex Deakin latest Meto update suggests showers this evening for South Midlands, south west and into S Wales.

As the temp drops nearer to freezing that might change 😉

Stopped here - hopefully temporarily as I'm really hoping to take my daughter's dog for his first walk in the snow.

Let the long night of lamppost watching commence!

This heavier shower seems to be heading more ENE-WSW. Wherever it tracks could get a surprise!

The met office update for 13th to 22nd January is not very thrilling. I know they have to be cautious about things, but I would have expected something a bit more cold and snowy. I wish that I hadn’t looked at it!

I wonder if there’s a world record for the lightest possible snow that actually counts as snow.

if so, we’d be in with a shout here in the test valley with our 1 flake per 5 minutes blizzard

We have had snow flurries for passed 3 hours now, it is a little faster and bigger size flakes now 😀

It is my eldest daughters 27 th birthday today I told her last night I had ordered her snow for her birthday and  I was hoping  it would get delivered  on time ( she is in Port Solent) .  If my old brain remembers right last time it snowed on her birthday was the day she was born .

I remember February 2005 (I think?)  was cloudy and freezing cold for best part of a couple of weeks - nearly everyday there was constant but extremely light snow. On the odd day, there would be little drifts along some walls an inch or 2 deep, but that was literally it! Very frustrating, after just a few days was hoping it would clear up so I could get a frost!
