Living in Leicestershire we have both a yellow and amber for wind for tonight. How does that work ?? Also in the period of the amber warning we have from 60 mph to 20 mph gusts forecast. All seems a bit of a mess.

The last couple of weeks have certainly been interesting, first flooding, then freezing conditions and now it’s going to be a wild evening with Storm Isha

Who said January is boring….certainly not this year 😉

Gusty here, but nothing too extreme. Wind events always seem to be a bit meh here, maybe the Wrekin gets in the way? Arwen was the only seriously windy one I remember, and the winds were from an unusual direction with that one.

Gusty here but agreed nothing too putnof the ordinary for our position atip of the Churnet Valley and edge of the peaks.

I dont hope for the worst of it of course as the previous storms have left us without power and have been relatively mild.

What time in north mids/staffordshire moorlands are we expecting the worse?

Been at the hospital all afternoon with my stepdaughter, popped outside a couple of times and the wind has really picked up now!

Firstly, I wish your stepdaughter well xX 😊

Thanks! All okay, we will be leaving soon. Might be able to save on petrol if the wind is blowing the right way! 😄

Next band of rain moving through now, the car headlights illuminating the almost sideways rain.

Well its already done for my admittedly poorly constructed temporary plastic shed

Mines somewhat sheltered by surrounding properties, but the trees around me are a worry 🥴

It seems when the downpours happen, the winds certainly pick up 💨💨💨

A little bit blowy, but nothing severe- or justifying any weather warnings so far.

Any heavy rain that looks like its heading this way on the radar seems to split with the heavy stuff going to either the north, or the south, or it seems to fizzle out before it gets here

It’s a lull….this precipitation will liven things up as it comes through 😉

It’s just started here 💨💨💨💨

Undoubtedly an unpleasant evening, but really nothing happening here. Less windy than we had a couple of weeks ago. Maybe it's just the shelter and things will change with the wind direction.

Same here over in Alton, Staffs Moorlands. No different to any other breezy day.

Understand locations vary however but here we have escaped anything remotely noticeable.
