Sad that here we are, mid winter and are talking about the possibility of potential record mild and not snow prospects!  This is what winter has come to and yet, no doubt come November we will still look forward to next winter and be hoping it will be the one!

Lovely winters day today sunny , and quite a nip in that breeze

  @nobble Totally agree, and same here. It felt lovely to see the very blue sky, and the wind gave a decent nip, as you say. Raised the spirits! Weekend also looks decent, albeit temperatures above average for late January.

Yup, very decent day max of around 9°C. Following today monthly sunshine total for January should be around 73 hours, average is normally 61 hours so doing quite well! The mid month cold snap boosted those totals a lot.

Full 'Wolf' moon rising to the north east at around 17:30.

An even more beautiful sunrise this morning.

It's the sort of sky you see in a Spanish plume but the setup isn't overly different with a southerly airflow today. Maybe Saharan dust enhancing it.
