144 ec  the scope  is very much there @ undercut!! The 850 hpa could be a whole lot different within range @36 hr mark- the geographical land points way off still.

The shortwave on Tuesday is very interesting, gives northern Scotland some snow. If this moves further south and develops a bit earlier... it could be quite impactful. It develops into a deep little now in the North Sea shortly after.

If that doesn't work out another disturbance pushes further south on Thursday!

It does look dry atm but with the low heights and warm seas in place small features have a chance of popping up within 48 hours. The same is said every cold spell 2010 was dry 144 hours out then look what happened. I’d rather the low go to the south keep hold of the cold air for longer and get disturbances.

Better than nothing for sure, but only if we assume it doesn't trend any more south.

 

Looks like another Cumbria streamer event where some areas could really get pasted.

Thursday the interest is back, too far out but shows little features like these can develop no problem!

Yeah and many more features will pop up for sure! We won’t know till Saturday at the earliest for Monday - Wednesday

Looks like north western parts will see quite a bit of snow during next week in the forecast synoptic set up. Northern Ireland the Isle of Man, North Wales, Lancashire, Cheshire, Staffordshire, quite favoured areas to get a build up of snow by the end of next week.  Indeed significant snow chances for almost anywhere once the prolonged Cold Spell commences !
