Isn’t there a snowblower available for hire on this thread? 🙃

I bought a snowblower back in 2009 after I got fed up of shovelling snow non stop. The machine was great, it could cut a path 24" wide and was smashing through 2 feet of snow no problem at walking pace. After the winter of 2010/11 it sat gathering dust in the garage before the gardener bought it around 2016. Thinking I should have held onto it 🤦‍♂️

Amazing pictures everyone!

The latest forecast for my area tomorrow looks good according to the Met Office.

I guess it’s just a matter of looking at the radar tomorrow and then see what falls from the sky.

Fingers crossed mate , looking good for here as well at the moment 😁

Looking good for the central belt and west to see some of the white stuff.   Noticed on the met office video forecast there was also potential overnight for the  east coast but nothing showing in any apps yet.   Just getting  bit greedy now.
The showers today have been short but heavy.  Probably added another inch or so.  Looks like there is a steam of these showers heading in our direction over next couple of hours as well.

I have one, came with the house. Got it up and running 2 years ago with a bit of effort as it obviously hadn't been used for a while, during the second Covid lockdown when I had time to tinker? To be honest unless the snow is really deep it's not worth the hassle, quicker shovelling. It's also only any good if the snow is fairly dry, at all wet and it just clogs the chute constantly. So like yours did, it sits gathering dust in the garage except for exceptional circumstances.

Max here so far for the day has been -1.7C, currently -2.1C, but doesn't really feel very cold at all unless you are in a blustery snow shower.

Working from home today - didn’t fancy a commute in these conditions.

Currently whiteout conditions in westhill - the drive is going to need cleared again this evening for sure 👍

Heavy wet snow kills a snowblower and anything under a foot, mine had a fit. Fortunately, the snow in 09/10 and 10/11 was powder. I've lived here 20 years and the only other times it would've come in handy would be 04/05 and 20/21. Nowadays a shovel is all you need.

Enough! I want snow now, IMBY!  image.thumb.png.743fae8015c4cb1cfd9b85bf15017afa.png

😁 Quite. Feb 21 was the last measurable snowfall here (> 1cm). We’re about due. Don’t usually go more than 3 winters between snowfalls, even here!

Cracking day though, blue skies and sunshine, max 1.0c.

I invested in a snowblower which I feel is in proportion to the amount of snow I see.😜

100% but at least this time there isn’t a east wind coming off the sea so you never know

Looks like you got a good run there!  Some promising looking stuff still incoming but to my eye looking to start fizzling out now.  Been pretty good though 👍
