Well the radar hasn't done what i thought it would do.

Currently -4.0c and DP -4.7c under clear, starry skies. It’ll be interesting to see just how low it gets overnight.

Dogs aren’t impressed with being thrown out for a last pit stop before bed…probably not helped by the fact I clipped them just over a week ago so no extra fur to keep them warm

Funny thing about the radar, you think, oh it's just taking data and turning it into a user-friendly format for Joe Bloggs. Ha ha. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's crap and usually it's somewhere in between. 

Lol. Today as far as I was concerned, it was at the crap end of in between. So marginally less crap then the forecasts for disruptive snow. DISRUPTIVE? What did today's snow disrupt? Perhaps one or two gentlefolk decided to postpone their weekly trip to the poodle parlour. 

I see Klippie is typing. That may be a euphemism. @Klippie, don't jinx it again eh?!

When I left work at 5pm in Rosyth the temp on  the motor was reading +4 deg/C and light rain, up to Hallbeath 0 deg/C and a bit of white stuff blowing through, an other wee bit up the motorway to home and now -1 deg/C and a some white stuff on the ground...amazing what a bit of altitude does.

Current conditions...

Clear starry sky.

Air temp -3.1 deg/C

Ground temp -16.0 deg/C

Me still boiling we didn't get a dumping of snow today.

Cold morning, link to my station below (-3c ish, dp -5c) but note I had to move it and defo not in an official setup right now, but temps tally okay with official local ones. You can explore map to nosey at other stations. Generally min was around -10 last night from a few favoured spots. Some stations had a remarkable rate of drop late evening yesterday,  but flattened...cloud??? Or wind??

Not much precipitation today by looks of things here until later on when looks like various chances of showers right through to Thursday,  buy would appear less action generally speaking.

Longer range in to early feb looks interesting still, but much to be resolved.

I suspect that when the wind switches more northerly later this afternoon there could be quite a few showers this evening and tonight , but I could very easily be wrong (and they may stay further north).

Currently -6.0 and dropping, was 0.5 warmer when I checked 20minutes ago. DP -7.1.

Clear skies so expecting a bonny sunrise if this is anything to go by.

The BBC has mr down for 17 hours of snaw showers heavy at times from 6pm... 

Do i believe it... nope not untill i see it..

School closed for 3rd straight day here too..

-5 c a moment ago and it felt it while i fetched firewood

Good morning. A low of -15.1°C here overnight in Dalwhinnie making it the coldest place in the UK this morning.

Morning all,

-3c when I left home but it may have dropped further. Regardless it's comfortably the coldest night of the winter for me. -5c at Leuchars. Very icy underfoot where last night's rain has frozen.

Met Office whispering in my ear: Becoming cloudier across northern and eastern parts overnight with a few snow showers for Angus and Fife.

Not buying it of course!

-4c no more snow but we have a breeze from the north and more showers to the north

Arctic air has brought sub-zero temperatures to the UK, with numerous yellow warnings in place for Wednesday.

Simply stunning this morning, still -8.8°C.

Yellow warning for snow here again today with the amber warning not far to our North. Will have to see if any showers make it this far south.

Could be some more disruption tonight with drifting if the wind picks up to the circa 30mph gusts forecast suggest for tonight!! 
 

met has me down for showers from 4pm today till late tomorrow night so will see if wee can get a little top up again.  
 

temp was -3 this morning and car showed -7 on way to work. Bitterly cold day with the clear sky and light wind.

Moderate likelihood & moderate impacts. Concerns for drifting snow.

Not the greatest when schools can’t open because of a bit of snow.
