Loving all the pictures everyone, those Northern Lights shots are superb.

The weather...I'am not really sure what season you could describe what we have at the momment, this cool dull grey is not pleasant, we are starting to get the odd bit of drizzle coming through here...oh the joy.

Our snow chances looking forward are zero there is nothing to indicate this will change, this chart over on VWCharts is in fantasy land, even the mad thread have stopped chasing their tails for anything cold.

Roll on spring for some much needed warmth.

Just to stick the knife further in...we have the perfect winter set-up for the east coast to get piles of snow that is apart from the air source, instead from a freezing continent we have it coming from North Africa.

I almost wept when I saw it.

Another foul day of easterly filth, as Klippie said. Not unusual in Spring but it’s never welcome and really grates after a couple of days. Temperature stuck on 6c.

Weather was approaching vile yesterday, managed to reach it today. Low of 3.0C, high so far of.... 3.4C, breezy, grey, drizzle.

As above, just vile.

4.5c, steady light rain being blown in on a, at times, brisk east wind.

Great day for cloudscapes 🤡

Yeah... unbeatable... I'm trying to find some enthusiasm for going out this afternoon. So far I've got as far as cleaning out the back of the huge messy cupboard and listening to some music!

I’ve got a curved monitor for my Mac mini, got me thinking, I want a desktop globe for displaying weather maps on! 😝

As for weather, well I got a horrible feeling that the ski areas are going to get wiped out mid week, then an absolutely Baltic spell of fairly dry weather to follow.

Some GFS ensemble members dipping to -17°c 850hpa temps for Highland Scotland! 🤯

Went past the Lecht during the week, I’m not a skier but I have to say it was all very sad to witness. Everything completely shut and not a soul around. Aviemore very quiet too.

I wouldn’t mind us having mild weather if meant those guys got a pasting. As for actual weather here, as others have said, very dreary and grey. Not good for the soul.

Day 7 of Aberdeenshire Permagloom™, getting a tad grating now.

Cool (4c) with 100% cloud cover and drizzle off and on in the gentle SE breeze.

The wind's calmed down compared to the weekend but the grey persists. Had about 3 minutes of sunshine in 3 days. Hopefully a bit brighter at points this week

5.5C. Dull with light drizzle/rain showers on the light South Easterly breeze. Pretty much the same as all the last few days. A bit of a change from Wednesday but with rain at times coming in from the SW/W.

March tends to be a tough month weather wise, a big month of nothingness. It’s neither warm nor cold, dark nor bright. It just sort of floats around not providing anything.

First day for several days able to venture out without being swathed in 5 layers and thickest of hats as bitter easterly finally abated. Even a few brighter spells this morning helping to push temps up to 10.3c.  Last nights brief rain gave fresh covering of snow to the higher hills to the sw.

After all that above, it’s now lashing with rain and I’m pretty sure I just heard thunder in the distance.

I'm scared... the sky has turned blue in places, and there's a big yellow sphere hovering over us... is it an alien invasion?

Finally, the sun god has returned since last visiting on the 4th Mar.

All thanks to the shift in wind direction to the SW, and a gusty wind at that.

Temperature also picked up, now 10c so warmest for over a week.

Ordinary blue sky but oh how good to see thee!

Drizzle to light rain to heavier rain to torrential rain tomorrow. Whoopee. Thank goodness I didn't do anything daft, like move to Provence 🙄

Better day up here, quite pleasant in sunny breaks this morning helping temperatures up to the dizzy heights of 9.7C , cloudy this afternoon but good outdoor day unlike for you poor souls further south.

Miserable, cold and wet here today. Told by relatives that it is snowing to quite low levels up in Highland Perthshire tonight as the colder air digs in. Here is a still from Highland safaris just outside Aberfeldy. And link as pic doesn't show up well.
