Broken? Or Not Broken?

Went back to the hospital to see the doctor who decided to xray it. Good job I mentioned to the xray woman that I was expecting as she hadn't read the note well enough and was about to take 7 xrays without protecting me The pictures were inconclusive, so I have to go back next Friday but keep the splint on :o Also saw the midwife (she was not impressed by the hand ) she can just feel the bump which hopefully means less trips to the loo at 4am (too much info maybe) Good news is that I don't h

Broken Wrist?

Well silly old me decided to clean the conseratory roof on Sunday. Just the usual thing most pregnant women get up to on a hot day I slipped a couple of times on top and broke my fall with my left hand. It now seems that I might have broken my Scafoids (sp) in my wrist. I have done this twice in the past, so it's likely to have happened again. So now I am sporting a oh so attractive splint and have to been seen tomorrow again befoe they think about xrays (not good for MiniLoo)I think I should

Clean House

As hubbie said tonight, the good thing about selling the house is that it's always tidy We have accepted an offer on our house and fingers crossed they will have no problem selling theirs. I know where it is and doubt there should be a problem It's all going quicker than I thought Watched a really enjoyable film last night. Apart from having Johnny Depp in (which is always nice on the eyes ) it was a real joy of a film, it being "Finding Neverland". I'm not a fan of Peter Pan but it's ve

Huston We Have A Problem

How can you run out of Basmati rice :o We bought some Tesco Indian meals and snacks and intended to cook some rice to go with it but......good old Katie forgot to check the cupboards I will be glad when we sell the house and I stop concentrating on doing up the house rather than making sure we have stocked cupboards We have had quite a few people having a nosey at the house in their cars. It's a total giveaway as we are at the end of a cul-de-sac We had a cheeky offer from one couple, whi

Baby Boom !!

Ok well I think I should come clean and finally admit to being the latest addition to the Net Weather Baby Boom Certain people have known for a while and have been fantastic at respecting my wish to keep it quiet until after the first 12 weeks dodgy period Having done this once before I thought it would be a breeze but I forgot just how tired you get. It's harder work when you already have a little one to look after.I also forgot just how loopy you go when you are pregnant. I introduced myse

Hot And Sticky

It's so warm in our office I don't mind it being warm but would much rather be outside :o Little fella went to the dentist with Hubbie this morning, we were having a discussion in the car last night about the Dentist counting his teeth. "will they all fall out?" - LF"er....no, why do you say that?" - me"Hannah's fall out" (childminder's 10 year old daughter) - LF"When you are older occasionally an odd one falls out, they are baby teeth and you then get your proper teeth" - me*think's long and

Selling Houses !!

Having spoken to umpteen estate agents this weekend, I now know that most know nothing about the area and speak out of there bottoms :o We have seen some really bad areas and some nice areas, so hubbie is going to concentrate on the nice ones.Plus point is that 2 lots of people came to see the house and both seem positive It's still depressing to think about moving so far away though, it may be a lovely area but it's the rear of the unknown

No London Trip

Me, hubbie and little fella had were all due to go to London this afternoon to stay with my brother for the weekend. I planned it over a month ago and little fella has been past himself with excitement. This morning, while checking what the weather was going to be like I noticed the thread about the London underground and well....................I was so shocked and upset I ended up in floods of tears in the office. It felt like a repeat of 9/11 in that we had just booked a flight to Ibiza and no

Moving House

Well I can officially spill the beans and say that we are moving house (hence all the work done on the house recently)Hubbie's company is moving to Gloucestershire, so we are all uping sticks and going "darn sarf" (although I don't think they have that accent down there)I've lived in North Yorkshire all my life so it's going to be a big change. I don't think we will see as much snow down there I've only ever been to Gloucestershire once when I was 13 so it's a bit difficult trying to work out

Busy Weekend

Well had a very busy weekend, mainly doing stuff to the house. My mum came up to keep little fella entertained (and to wind me up ) and so we managed to get loads done :o Saturday was a strange day with Live 8 on when I could watch it. It was good but (and I know it's not supposed to be the same) but there was not the same excitement or passion as there was with Live Aid I'm was not a big fan of Queen but when Freddie Mercury was on I could not take my eyes of the telly What a total showm

Sad News

Got a phone call from a friend last night to find out her dad had died  He was a lovely bloke and a wonderful dad and grandad who will be much missed by all his family, especially his wife of 48 years The sad bit was she was saying how a bloke had gone to pick up his grandson from her son's school and the her son said "look it's grandad" unfortunately it wasn't It got me thinking that my son doesn't have any grandads at all, although one got to see him when he was 3 weeks old :o Losin

Sunny Day

Lovely sunny day outside.......so why am I sat inside Because I am being hastled by the auditors from hell I was once an auditor myself but would like to think I was not this anal about things  I did once find a really big fraud though, which was exciting (for an auditor) Just sat here waiting for a report to run and then I'm going to escape into the wilds of Malton for some lunch (I know how to spoil myself )It's a short week again for me. Me and the little fella are off to Scarb

Today we did our first Car Boot Sale Never done one before, it started at 7.30am and we were some of the last who turned up at 8.00am What time do these people get up :o I warned hubbie that people will pounce on the car before you get anything off and yep they did. We had a brass jam pan which everyone wanted but not for any more that £5 We did really well but the things I thought would sell well didn't (toys, kids clothes) Hubbie reckons I have found my true vocation, selling things to pe

What A Weekend !!

Well what a weekend I had  It was the annual Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) Farmyard Party at Duncombe Park in Helmsley at the weekend. 7000+ Bikers decend on quaint little Helmsley and liven it up for a while :o Personally I really like it, cos it can be a bit dull most of the time. It's always a good laugh, with the coppers turning a blind eye to a lot of things but there is never any trouble and if you saw the market place at 3.30pm on Sunday you would never had guessed they were there

Unwell

Feeling a bit sorry for myself today. I had to leave work early yesterday with a splitting headache and feeling dizzy (nothing new there)I got hardly any sleep and am really tired today. I decided to take the day off and catch up on a bit of sleep.I've been sorting out little fellas toys and old clothes in the last few days pending a car boot sale in the next few weeks to declutter the house. It's scary to see how much stuff we have accumulated, I have not bought a lot of toys but still they app

Chocolate

For those of you who know a bit about me, you will know that I am a bit of a chocoholic At my old office I was in a room with a load of people who just used to gently rib me about eating choccy all day but now I sit opposite my boss. My boss being female, 2 years younger than me and about size 6. She eats salad and diet yoghurt  So everytime I reach for a choccy biscuit or worse, packet of crisps she gives me a disaproving look Don't get me wrong, I don't just shovel c*** into my

Grey Day

Well what a grey day :o I was hoping to go to the coast with little fella today but it's raining. I was also considering going to see my Grandma but my mum is going and as I spent yesterday with her, I don't think I could cope with another day.Don't get me wrong, my mum is nice but she's very loud and ignores everything I say and just talks about "her" all the time. It can take me a day or so to calm down after a visit  She lent me her House Doctor books so I can sort our house out, whi

Short Week !

Oh I do like having a short week, it's only 3 days to the weekend now :o Managed to organise going to London to see my brother in July, so well happy about that Little fella is much better, bouncing about like a usual 3 year old  I'm also planning to take a couple of days off in June to have a bit of fun with him. I might go to the Magna Centre near Sheffield, which is a sort of hands on science place. Never been before but sounds like fun Hubbie has his exams next week at Durham so

Quarantine

Well litle fella is spotty but full of energy now. I think the antibiotics have taken affect on his toncilitus.Problem now is that he is still infectious until all his spots scab over. Problem is I was wanting to get him out of the house to allow hubbie to do some revision for his exams. Now where can we go, on a bank holiday weekend, where there will not be many people around to infect  Not many It the wind calms down we might go and watch the gliders on the top of White Horse Bank an

Bank Holiday Break

Well I've managed to get Thursday and Friday off this week, so nice long weekend Unfortunately little fella has come down with a bug, resulting in me having to go and collect him at lunchtime. He had a temperature of 102F, so off to bed. He woke up, bouncing about and we went for a little walk. Later he flopped on the sofa, watching TV (very unlike him) and then demanded to go to bed at 6pm  When I took his temperature it had shot up to 104F :o I've been lucky, as he has rarely been i

Relaxing Day

Had a lovely start to the day, nice and sunny, got the washing out early - 7.15am :o Went swimming with little fella, which was packed with parents wanting to watch the football this afternoon I guess. Little fella slipped when getting changed and bashed his head on the floor, he's so accident prone I can't think where he gets it from I tried on some "trendy" clothes today (not really my thing) little fella said "you look like a Princess" but to be honest I felt like someone had superempose

Light At The End Of The Tunnel?

Well silly hours were stretched to the extreme yesterday. Started at 7.25am and at 7.45pm I was asked "what can I do to help you?" Carry my bag to my car? Hopefully tomorrow is the final day for working these stupid hours and I will refuse to work them in future
