Huge strike right in front of my eyes, pretty close, one of the best I've ever seen. The lightning rate from this storm is incredible.

It hadn't stopped loghnong since about 10 and I got blinded for a couple of minutes 2 times. Little worried that a house has been hit as it sounded like it was outside. This is a mental storm for may, not out of place in America

The insanity continues, you can hear this guy's excitement as well, which would also be me if if I was there. "the best thing i've seen in my life" he's saying right now.

Faint distant thunder to W or WSW. I think the breeze has drowned out some of the thunder considering the frequency and brightness of the lightning. Still no rain here yet.

Certainly wasn't expecting to be getting any activity here in North Essex.

Incredible storm. Lightning every second. It's a real shame that it's hidden.

Eagle Eye that north Sea clag?

Same here I've seen several distant flashes earlier off Essex coast, but it's fully cloudy now.

Nah just hidden by houses here.

Yeah this is ridiculous. Lightning every second for the last 20 minutes.

I think this hit pretty close, never heard thunder like that before

was blinded for a good couple of mins after it too. Thunder came on as the flash happened
