Stepped away for a bit and I see reinvigoration after it went a bit quiet on the northern edge. Your pictures are great guys. Will be sure to take some if anything local pops up

Brightest flash of lightning, and loudest thunder, so far here, but not showing on the lightning map for some reason.

Seen a couple of flashes off to the south east already. Still eerily quiet out there atm.

The updraft to this is incredible by the way, look at it. Just sat in bed watching now. Barely anything showing up on camera because the flashes are so quick.

Seeing this radar makes me excited for Summer, this is really shaping up to be a good storm season. Fairly sure the UK struggled to get one storm across the channel last year if I'm right in saying that?

Not sure where that came from as nothing appeared on the map and my own detector didn't go off but just heard what I'm sure was thunder.

Sam jackson88 Just hoping it doesn't turn into a big wet mess before it gets here.

Pretty sure I can hear very distant rumbling thunder now.

Looks like those on the south coast could be in for a treat if the activity keeps up at its current rate.

Well I didn't expect this lightning and distant thunder as the old comment goes about 14 - 15 miles away lightning is getting quite frequent near the bridge and louder really wasn't expecting this tonight

It's becoming more organised now long squall line moving swiftly north and west loads behind it. More like middle of summer storms . Will be severe in places

Mapantz it was like that here and now it has dried up and rumbles are getting louder, should have a really nice storm heading your way in a hour or 2
