Day 10 I can't get the highlight post quote "selection thing to work at all. I am using a weird accessibility tech thing though.
Anyway 9th March 2023 was region wide I think, remember that frustrating 36 hours?

18z should come with a health warning. Just some Friday night fun for now... 😄 but the potential for somewhere in the UK to get a dumping of snow that would make a 5/10 Winter so far a memorable one is there for sure but pinpointing where is going to be tricky anywhere from Scotland to the Channel Islands & N of France now though ❄️

Exactly, it's either above the top line or below the bottom one.

Can anyone remember the last time we had region wide snowfall and during daylight hours too as they also seem to be getting rarer? March 2013 maybe??

Was that the one where we had an amber warning snatched away at the 11th hour? If so, yeah very painful indeed that was.

Might just be me but first morning that felt a bit lighter outside, woken up by the birds too - signs of Spring 🌱🌸  on the way, I love cold & snow but by mid March I’m definitely ready for the change in season.

Happy weekend all! 🙂

Looks like a decent days weather coming up for the region, more so the further north you are but listening to the wind, the mild temperatures will no doubt be tempered by the gusty conditions.

a usable day though.

edit, we’ll that’s a definite fail on the part of the radar, nothing at all showing but looked out and we’ve got horizontal steady rain, not even drizzle, full blown rain🤬

so much for my useable day coming up😫

Was drizzly 6am and the birds were shouting for their meal worms 😁, a mild start 11°C, doesn't feel it though.  Currently overcast but dry.

Rostherne had a max of 14.1°C yesterday.

Radar showed our sudden rain in the end but it was definitely playing catch-up.

good job the Met didn’t need to issue a red warning for torrential drizzle and severe blandness😂

 damianslaw

enjoy it, it’s been horrible here for the last couple of hours.

no doubt next weeks snow will set up either north or south of here but todays rain is happy to line up right across where it was supposed to be dry.

Day 10 can't remember about the warning but it was when we had snow all day but it didn't settle, and then did overnight then Melted in next day's sun.

Seems an uncertain start.  Cloudy but a lighter grey than yesterday,  Fells clear.   Odd bits of blue sky. And brief rays of sunlight.    Breezy.   Temp 8.4 c

Forgot to mention the other Candlemas saying -- "If Candlemas is bright and gay, there'll be nothing but rough weather till the end of May".   So ..... ?

Quick one before heading out.

Currently, I would say the snow risk towards end of next week is anywhere above the blue line.

The good thing is that there is bags of time for this to change.

After a decent day yesterday, it's a damp drizzly morning here. A turnaround in fortunes today across the region compared to yesterday by the looks of it with Northern parts looking like having a reasonable day.

severe snowstorm Yeah some early brightness but now drizzly damp & meh. This is why ‘mild’ weather in Winter is pants it nearly never is dry and pleasant for the NW.

Clearance has finally arrived with a bit of sunshine poking through but still breezy.

just hope it’s here for the rest of the day now.
