I wasn’t taking that much notice of Mondays weather a couple of days ago but wasn’t the rain supposed to affect Southern parts with a decent day expected up here.

now it’s looking like a Northern England and north Midlands washout with the rest of the country drier.

Asking for a frustrated friend who, after a weekend doing inside jobs had outdoor plans for Monday🤬

Morning all.  Another Bobby dazzler of a morning, hardly a breeze and 8.5°C.   Skies have gone a little milky.  Off round the house now to change clocks.  Enjoy your day whatever your choice of activity, post a pic. 👍☀️😁

@Weather-history    I love this pic,  it feels like he is staring the viewer right in the eye.

Another fantastic start to the day. Hardly a cloud in the sky and for now not even a gentle breeze.

A couple of the local Barn Owl from 2 weeks ago. A huge conservation success largely down to one bloke who's

championed their recovery across the local area.

Sun dog looks like we’ve drawn the short straw up here.

cloudy and misty with just the odd glimpse of brightness, hopefully it burns off before to long.

It's been another nice morning here with plenty of sunny periods, although more cloud has now bubbled up.

It's a shame the forecast for tomorrow has changed with a rather damp day now looking likely.

Lovely weather day yesterday here in S Cheshire and it seems much of the region it was the first properly nice and more importantly dry/ Spring feeling day in a long while! 🙌✨☀️

Today is useable some decent brightness this morning to start Easter Sunday before more unsettled weather arrives Easter Monday and for the majority of next week - no day being a no umbrella day sadly  ☔

April is often where we see us pushing towards our first 20c of the year it seems a long way off though yet.

We've done well this weekend. 2 weeks of dross to come unfortunately, but you never know. This weekend's synoptics don't scream sun when you look at them.

iand61 agreed, I thought we were going to get a mainly dry Easter Monday but now it appears not. Maybe the weather people were referring to Scotland when they referred to the 'North staying dry', although I wouldn't class our Region as 'Southern parts' by any stretch of the imagination!

A second dry day today although more cloud than yesterday. 2 out of 4 reasonable days over a March Easter is probably as good as it gets and is certainly better than Easter Sundays in1975 (30th) and 2008 (23rd).

After yesterday's very good early Spring day - ideal walking conditions! Today so far has been more of the same and a touch warmer to boot. Hope everyone is making the most of the good weather this weekend if you can, tomorrow now set to be the poorest of the 4 days, and next week as a whole for April very poor indeed..

Mainly overcast and temp here topped out at 13.3°C.  Some cloud clearance for a bright pleasant first lighter longer evening.

So the new month starts off with rain, tut.

A largely sunny morning here, but clouded in by lunchtime and remained rather cloudy throughout the afternoon. Certainly felt a little chilly without the sun and a stiff breeze this afternoon, max temperature 12.6C.

BBC Countryfile forecast for the week ahead had just about everything in it except warm sunshine. Rain tomorrow, showers or longer spells of rain interspersed with some sunny periods after that until the weekend and then potentially wet and windy at the weekend but warming up, although you probably won't notice it. Not good in other words for the start of the Easter holidays for kids and their families.

Ahh, the rain back already, 7.4°C.  Wet here, drizzle.  Birds very active and waiting for their meal worms and seeds earlier.

So, will April dry things up a bit?

Morning All.

Busy busy busy.

Grey and a bit drizzly but the sudden huge gusts of wind are the talking point.

I've been tidying the garden and rearranging things whilst the weather allowed.

Morning all. Just looked at the models , so have decided to postpone my spring visit to the NW. Wind, rain and chill not my cup of tea. Warm sunshine, fohn winds and desert dust just abouit brought a early end to the snow over here with very little remaining  below 1500m . A bit of disaster for the ski-ing industry who were expecting a good end to the season with Easter being early this year. Anyway, despite the horrid weather for you lot, you still have the best pubs and food in the world by a country mile on your door steps ( and tv ) which is crap over here. Hope to get over in June.

A damp and dreary morning here, complete contrast to the previous two mornings. At least we managed to get some decent weather on Saturday and Sunday.

8.5C and spitting with light rain.

Nice 4 mile walk first thing - despite the rain. Amazing how the trees and hedges have greened up in the past couple of weeks. Large number of Blackcaps appear to have arrived overnight joining a couple from last week. Normally the majority tend to move on as the arrival of Spring continues to spread. Great to see a lone Sand Martin - only takes a couple of days of sunshine to bring the midges out.

Looking at the radar its a sea of blue over the region, but mostly very light blue, which is equating to just cloudy skies. Indeed high level cloud, with just a spit of rain in the air.
