A better day than yesterday with plenty of blue sky and only spoilt by a couple of heavy hail and rain showers early afternoon.

It looks like the majority of the showers were further west than here which is pretty much the case whenever there is a NNW flow and it’s turned into a lovely although cold evening.

A lovely sunny evening here. It wasn't too bad today, one or two April showers and some pea sized hail this afternoon accompanied by a few rumbles of thunder, but lengthy spells of sunshine in between the showers. Much lighter winds than yesterday. Tomorrow is looking to be a reasonably nice day.

Interesting day of weather.  Temp varied due to streamer flowing continuously to west of Macc,  max of 10°C.  Cracking evening, clouds bright pink reflecting sunset.

Not kept focused on the weather today, other than to say we stayed dry, reading the thread lots of convection about, but not here. Lots of sunshine and far more springlike compared to yesterday.

Tomorrow sees a greater threat of showers, Thursday light rain, and then, gosh we might see at least 3 dry days in a row! Hallelujah!

Sun.   ☀️    This is nice.

Many birds busy at last setting up nesting and defending territories.  The willow warbler came back last Saturday to its favourite patch, about 3 days early.  Surprising considering the appalling weather since then.

So a day for outdoor work -- but where to start?

Can feel the warmth of the sun even with chill breeze… 2cc at 7am when I got up… now 8.9c.. had long tailed tits at the windows getting bugs for five minutes… bird life in spring mood… busy in the garden… saw the local heron flying between Howard and Manor Park too…

A chilly start. Bright rather than sunny, clouds may bubble up to produce a shower or two.

Current temp 8.0 degrees.

Clouding up more now.  A beautiful new hatched orange tip butterfly flitting about in the sunshine this morning.  First signs of pink buds on apple tree.    🙂

So much for the drier, more pleasant week. After another lovely morning, it's clouded over, we've just had a rain and hail mix and the temperature has dropped to 7c. Tomorrow pm looks damp if not wet, and showers creeping into Fridays morning's forecast too 🤦‍♂️. I suppose it's better than what we've had.

Just had a heavy hail shower, could see the wall of hail approaching.  Photo bombed by a pigeon too 😁

Suddenly back to blue sky.

It was quite a pleasant morning to be had whilst having a bimble up to Middleton Top & Minninglow although it's still bitterly cold out in the wind, but at least there's some strength to the sun which immediately lifts the temperatures whilst in sheltered spots. Back to rain and showers now.. typical.

Best day of the week so far but even today couldn’t escape a couple of afternoon showers.

A coolish feeling breeze as well with little strength in the sun to modify the cold airmass currently over us.

oh to have the had the same set up in the middle of winter.

A superb day today, plenty of sunshine, not a drop of rain and feeling pleasant in the sun even though we didn't get that far into double figures, a max temp of 11.2. More days like today would be great.

severe snowstorm Bizarre that Wilmslow seems to be getting so much more rain than other parts of Cheshire- it was dry and mostly sunny here until about 3pm and then we had some extremely heavy showers that are continuing now with some hail at times.

We had a lot of rain yesterday afternoon as well.

Areas to the west such as Northwich and areas to the east such as Macclesfield haven't had nearly as much it seems.
