Showers with hail gone through. It wasn't even dry overnight, had a couple of showers go through.

As per yesterday, we have stayed dry. I thought we might catch a shower or two. A cool feel though despite the sunshine.

A lovely evening, clear skies. May see an air frost early hours.

Looks like a dry evening regionwide.  Apart from SW Cheshire.  Lovely sunset sky here.

I scraped a bit of ice off the windscreen going to work yesterday morning and looking at the bathroom window, I’ll be doing the same again today.

probably not an issue tomorrow though as the wipers will no doubt be clearing the last of the rain that looks like ruining the second half of today before hopefully a dry couple of days coincides with the weekend.

Unfortunately it’s not looking like sunny dry though.

good morning all.  Clear skies led to a chilly night here and a slight frost, -1°C.

Just watched the forecast and another weather front coming in from the northwest.

certainly a change from the default southwesterly direction and something that we’d have sold our mother for in the depths of winter.

 iand61   Yes, bright cheerful start not lasting the day.  Rain feeding into the Lakes by dinner time, and to the rest of us through the afternoon.  Keep an eye on the sky if you're putting your washing out.

 Rush2019 yes, strange, we had a bit of rain last night after a dry day.

Dry and bright this morning but quite chilly early. I have to attend a funeral later and hope the rain stays away until after the service.

Shap went down to -4.3 degrees in the early hours.

A cold overcast morning has given way to light patchy rain. Current temp a chilly 8.4 degrees.

And the rain is here. At least it doesn't look too heavy at the moment. Seems this band of it has arrived a bit early.

July 2023 to currently is now as wet as the whole of 2012 was for the region ...and we still over two months to go to complete a 12 month period.

 tricol   Yes, I thought it was due a bit later too.  Macc was sat under blue echoes for a while before any precipitation fell.  Tis wet now though.

Windy, wet and feeling bleak.  Some sun ths morning and temp rose to 9.5C.  Now 8.2 C but feels colder.  Spring has been put back in its box.

Yep , the summer clothes are staying in the loft and may do so for quite some time.

Steady rain has set in but at least it didn't affect my funeral visit earlier today.
