Absolute sparkler today, after a frost which is still hanging around in the shade.

Back to digging today. ⛏️

Much chillier last night, almost an air frost but not quite. Lovely day today too.

As always, a shame good things never last.

Nice to see the sun from start to finish today. Managed to spend a decent amount of time outside for the first time in a while.

Lovely day today. Perfect for working outside. Planning to be out early again tomorrow, before the rain arrives. 😒

*Stormforce~beka* it is good. Your kids would love it. Not a fan of zoos, but they're all rescued, so it's serving a purpose too.

Sunnyish day today, but a bit of a nagging wind which kept the temperatures just below double digits.

Still, the side lawn got its first mow of the year with my brand new and very shiny hand mower. (£35 from B&Q, discounted from £45 due to a missing grass basket.)

*Stormforce~beka* yes it’s fabulous. Kids entry is just over a fiver this week as it’s half term and they can run around like crazy. My two were proper whacked. More importantly the work the park does for primate conservation/protection is truly remarkable.

Spits of rain and overcast. A good day to have a window removed and a new one fitted. 😁

Morning All, the overnight low of 2.8°C at: 00:00 has jumped up to 8.7°C, RH94% with light rain, which looks as though something a little heavier is nearby.

Absolutely vile out there now. I'm soaked.

Got a raised bed and one of two sleeper steps built, but that's me done.

Arome goes against the met app and that suggests tomorrow's rain will rattle though early. Hope so. Otherwise we go again in the rain. 🤞🏽

*Stormforce~beka* Walking mainly. Also spent a bit of time just sat in the sun in a sheltered spot which was really nice. Something I won’t be doing today since we’re back to the usual dull damp weather.

Managed to scrub the patio today in the pouring rain, at least it's lifted some of the algae and looks a tad bit cleaner, next is to apply some proper algae cleaner in the spring once the rainy season eases, slightly. Which given the current suggestion of a technical SSW, suggests it could be a damp prolonged winter to summer, Spring may return next year.

Glad I mowed the lawn yesterday, today was pretty filthy. A day for indoor jobs.

Looks like the rain is rattling through early. Let's hope it stays away. Dig, dig.

Good Morning,

Raining when I left the house this morning just had gone off by the time i got into work, what a grim week so far.

The Gloucestershire part of the River Severn is looking sketchy, this is from the environment agency flood warning map.

Of note we get an "extra" day of winter this time, I wonder how much difference that might make (another rainy day)? Also means Spring will be delayed 24hours.

ECMWF doesn't suggest much change, a slight decrease in temps

@*Stormforce~beka* progress pic as promised. Despite a wet week, we now have a slope that will be grassed done, half the retaining sleeper wall, two raised beds for cut flowers and some steps. The other side of the slope will be similar, but for veg.
