Had lunch outside in a t shirt. Madness. Had the occasional day like this in February in the past, but there’s a pattern here somewhere…

MP-R Definitely milder today than it was yesterday. Even found a ladybird inside this afternoon.

Stopped at Sidmouth for lunch and a walk, to avoid the rain.

Just arrived in Fowey. Glad we paid extra for a sea view...

We walked a mile to the shops and the park. Then bused home when it started spitting.

I was driving, so gave the OH a lesson on the netweather radar en route, which paid dividends. I think she finally gets it.

Now watching the twinkling lights of Polruan over the water with a pint. 👌🏾

There must be some flooding in the strip from around Exeter and NE to around Marlborough.

Those areas have had several heavy bursts run along the same line in the last 4/5 hours and another now.

Meanwhile just a few miles to the East it’s been showery but nothing more than a few mm.

Only reached 12.6°C here which seems quite cool compared to some of the other temperatures posted in here earlier. Still felt really mild though, especially when the sun came out for a while.

Andy Bown I was thinking the same Andy

Have had many hours of heavy rain here in Frome as you probably have over there and it’s still going now

we must’ve had between one or 2 inches of rain

and the weekend looks like there could be more rain so flooding looks increasingly likely on top of already saturated ground and surface water from the last bouts of rain

*Stormforce~beka* Cloudy and cold here at just 12c

A peak of 12.4°C at: 12:22, currently 11.3°C, still Tshirt and shorts weather, glad to be out of jeans and coat that I was wearing on holiday. Mind you wife says to me "Shorts and T's" I said "AND?". She thinks I'm mad, but, maybe I am. Annual attire

Unless we see a beast from the East, so I think I'm safe this year, and next and....

ECM suggests little along the lines of cold.

Hmm, the local rag sugests the timing to be a LOT longer, based upon the MetO warnings posted which suggest:

image.png.e3d530ac53d9ee65ce2489b36c97cb96.png

The local warning suggests:

The yellow alert, which includes Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and the rest of the county, will be in force from 3pm on Saturday, February 17.

It will last until 8pm on Sunday, February 18.

That just looks wrong when checking the various models for local conditions.

They always do that, they seem to think if the warning is for 48 hours it will be constant for that time.
