Thought I was getting a day off today, but arrived at Mum's to be told that I needed to get on her flat root to fix the guttering and clean her uPVC cladding.

Weather was much nicer down there. Bit of Sun and warmth at various points.

Thursday afternoon was reasonably sunny here and I did see the sun for a bit on Friday but overall it's been in very short supply

Spoke too soon earlier. It’s been raining, sometimes pouring, for 2 hours now from a kind of back building downpour.

Just back from the west of Ireland, had 4 consecutive days without any rain. I don't think I've ever experienced that before over there!

Another day and it would probably have been classified as a regional drought.

Another cloudfest. Feels pretty cool too.

Should be back in boots across the fields tomorrow. Then more rain, so possibly a one-off before the wellies return.

Methuselah Ha! fair comment, the question was prompted by a photo someone had taken from the Mendips that was in the local new website

Feels at the moment no matter the wind direction, its just grey rubbish over us  - i think a straight northerly is my only hope now for some prolonged sunshine...

Wynn D Woo Thank you sweety. Yes that's it! Whatever the direction we are all doomed! I've given up hope of ever seeing a cloudless blue sky again

Ah the old sky clearing towards sunset scenario is rearing itself again! Probably going to be quite clear most of the night then dull and wet tomorrow 🙄🤦‍♂️
