My most disliked work is cutting grass I find it very boring.Today hit the jackpot...5 jobs...5 lawns lol..last one is about a mile and a quarter walk behind the mower.Cold..I think not..T shirt soaked through. However, done some research, worked out 4 pints of beer tonight should replace the sweat lol

jy I enjoy it, although I might not after my fifth. I find that I don't have to think about much, apart from going in a straight line.

I found my time at college very interesting.I was only one of two blokes in a class of 24 lol Field days were good as you saw things bought to life instead of seeing a photo.

I cut grass as part of my landscaping business (which has evolved over 15 years to be about 40% garden maintenance inc lawns/hedges, and 60% hard landscaping). I quite like lawn mowing, but it really does depend on which lawns, the weather and how much they’ve grown! It’s going to be a tough few months of cutting as the ground is so wet, and they are rocketing at the moment. Just this week a lawn I did my own took 3 hours instead of the usual 2.. and flat lawns are rare around here. A rare flat lawn I did just before that one took over 2 hours, when I have done it in an hour and a quarter.. it produced 4 times the amount of grass cuttings compared to 4 weeks ago! So it’s a mixed bag for me depending on how much it grows - which of course is weather dependant. Thankfully most of our lawns are timed and priced accordingly....

Woke up this morning and it was sunny. I turn my back for 5 mins and the gloom moves in!

Morning All, an overcast one this morning, I suppose it's levelling up for the glorious day yesterday, oh well.

The overnight low of 7.7°C at: 03:15, has climbed up to 13.4°C, RH74% and the freshening breeze in from the NNE, with scattered clouds at an altitude of 2,600 ft.

From Above a fair amount of cloud flowing in from the N.

Got the washing dry and a good walk on the breezy and occasionally sunny morning.

However the delayed cold front means there’s a real risk of a wet school run in 90 minutes from now. Some heavy showers running SSE heading this way.

Absolutely chucking it down here. Saw it coming on the radar and in the distance over Salisbury, so thought I'd get the grass cut before it arrived. Job done and feeling smug.

Then my raised bed wood arrived and I helped the chap shift it all. We both got soaked. 🌧️

Pretty windy but sunny. Temp reached 16.8°C.

Had a small accident today.. I was breaking up concrete with a sledge hammer and a small chip shot up my nostril and my nose exploded. Claret everywhere!

Mapantz That sounds nasty. Fortunately not in your eye!

Mixed day today. Sunny spells and cold in the wind   Will be glad when we can get more than one day wind free.

Afternoon, a little warmer this morning than yesterday I think we had a shower at lunchtime but never noticed it being wet until I went outside.
