If you'd ever seen Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, you'd know.

Absolutely lovely now and has been for an hour, or so. Sunny and warm, out of the breeze. If the farmer hadn't been muck spreading today, it'd be perfect.

Warmest day of the year so far here with it reaching 17.1°C but it didn't feel that warm in the breeze. Had a couple of showers this afternoon but otherwise it was mostly sunny.

Morning all a cracking Spring like day, with a decent overnight low of 0.9°C at: 06:24 nipping at the early plants. The warming sun has pushed that low up to the current 13.4°C with a Rh not seen for a while at RH50%, and light breeze in from the NE with a few clouds at an altitude of 2,500 ft.

From Above the cloud creeping ever closer from both the N & NE

Meanwhile on Golden sands, plenty of blue sky, calm sea, and warming sand...

Not unexpected.Drying wind plus sun equals rapid drying out.Pots and troughs now need regular watering.Told pub landlord to start watering his pots and hanging baskets, sadly his language wasn't that supportive lol

*Stormforce~beka* Seems crazy after so much rain, but north or especially NE winds dry the ground so fast bit of sun and you dry out.

jy Yes, I bought some strawberry plants and have been out there watering, what is that about? Planted them in the troughs, well watered and  await the Monday rain. But then its looking dry, and if I were to believe some early summer forecasts, I'll, be watering for many months!

Went down to Lepe beach today. Nice and busy, with plenty enjoying the Sunshine.

Back in the garden now and it's lovely and warm.

Caught the start of the footie from Wembley, where it looked cloudy. As db says it's heading out way, but should unusually only bother us overnight, before clearing tomorrow. 🤞🏼

Dorsetbred I call it Ying and Yang long period of wet, followed but a period of dry. Many farmers would agree,Its more important regarding summer holidays. Its vital that you have a reliable person to water for you.Two days@85 degrees without water, goodbye hanging baskets

We pre booked an indoor attraction weeks ago so naturally it’s been a glorious day!

Mind you the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton is brilliant!

Felt quite warm in the garden this afternoon when sheltered from the breeze but wasn't so pleasant out the front of the house. Would be nice to get a sunny day without a nagging cold breeze.

6 for £3.50.

Looks decent out there this morning. The cloud is on the Western horizon and moving away.

*Stormforce~beka* geraniums they don't suffer from heat quite as bad as many summer bedding plants you should be able to get a mixed pack of six colours for about 3.50,bigger more established plants probably about 2.50 each.Wouldnt plant for a few weeks but top up trough with some new compost

Cracking day again.

Big difference between working in the open, in the breeze and sitting on the patio, out of it.  Done now, I can sit on the latter with a pint and listen to the FA Cup semi.
