  6. Something we are used to doing from time to time at my location, sometimes it's snow during lambing, sometimes gales where we have to build shelters out of bales of hay. But we have always coped and is a way of life farming in the Peak District. We all knit in when we have to and understand..
  7. But it's still a very limited area and rather short lived if so at that alt, Given the colder air retaining at higher alt. We shall see. Still snowing here and temp dropping with full snow cover.
  8. Sheep are in here, what a job.. Many local farmers have been panicking given the updated warnings earlier The stress doesn't do them good when in lamb. But it's for the best..
  9. Still light to moderate snow here and feels like mid winter, local lanes round here are now being covered by snow. Temp -1c on the Davis.
  10. A full cover of snow here with a good few hours of light snow has now turned moderate, Not planning on going far over the next day or two here in the Peak District.. Nice to have a Snow Watch thread again
  11. A covering of snow here and still snowing but pepping up a bit now.. Temp 0c Dp -2c Wind N/W 14mph

  13. Absolutely, I know folk are getting excited on if and where it will snow, But please use the regional threads for IMBY type posts. This is the Model Output Thread, And these sort of posts in these busy times clog up one of the most important threads on the Netweather forum. Please think before posting if what your typing is model related, Because posts will start to just go missing and you will be wasting your time. Please report any off topic posts. Thanks all, And enjoy the up-coming cold spell.
  14. I think we can all agree now that we realy don't know, Just like the experts, Very interesting Model viewing as the fine details come into the high-res Models over coming days or 3... Some great model discussion in here given so much uncertainty.
  15. Can we please stop the tit for tat. It really isn't constructive or pleasent reading.
  16. This thread is going to be actively moderated, Any more off topic, wind up posts will disappear and any action needed will be taken. Very interesting Model watching currently..and to come, This is a valuable and informative thread, Please report any off topic post instead of responding to them...
  17. As Mucka says there's so much at play, Best to not get to hung up on each run with so much uncertainty from such a short timeframe. Wintry conditions on the way for now..
  18. Very busy in here now, Which is understandable given what the Models are showing.. Just Model Discussion please so we can keep the thread clean and informative. Thanks all
