Met Office doesn't update their outlooks until around 3'ish. Haven't looked at the model thread yet but good to know that a pattern changer is underway. I woukd say if things are still showing by the weekend then wee can bank this happening. So many let downs in the past that it's hard to believe anything.

Well going by the BBC's earlier forecast then its not till later in the night around 4am that we will see some some although i'm not expecting much at all.

Gary the cloud is starting to roll in. Feels like something is on the way and it's bitter cold. Going by the precipitation charts then from 6 on today seems our best bet. If I don't see anything in Derry then I reckon a road trip is on the cards for tomorrow might even move to the Castlereagh Hills. Lol. I have the best view of Derry from my house and going from the radar there is a line of showers to the north which you can see from the pics below.

It's been a great start to winter. Was thinking that there should be 2 model discussion threads. One for the Midlands north then one for the winters over South. Would make checking the model thread less depressing! Lol

Bitter cold morning out and it's snowing lightly and blowing around in the strong wind.

Don't worry lads I haven't been.washed away. Out dj'ing here but I.did get some quality photos which I will post tomorrow at some stage. I have never seen a.swell like it in my life. Epic stuff and seen all types of weather on the 100 miles we travelled. Hail rain sleet snow thunder and lightning. Class stuff!

Things really starting to blow up now and its its hail stoning with snow mixed in! A friend of mines just said the Glenshane is like the Rockies. Lol.
