  1. Hi Tyson, I warn you I am also very inexperienced so could be wrong. From what I can see the snow band is moving North West. If this is the case, then there is a fair bit more snow heading your way, so I would estimate snow to continue falling, albeit lightly, in Nottingham until the Early Hours.
  2. Heavy snow (small flakes) coming down still. Heavier stuff definitely appears to be moving in from the east Edit: really getting heavier here & more snow to come potentially till the earlu hours is just what I wanted to hear TEITS!
  3. i think it's moving in a north westerly direction, at least that's what the radar around me appears to show. I could be mistaken though.
  4. Snow still coming down well here, but judging by the radar, that may change soon. Edit: 18:45 radar looks better, heavier precip moving in from the east.
  5. The stuff to our east does look to be shifting east, although that could change, if the heavier stuff over Ely came this way it would be great.
  6. SNOWING Current Temp: 0.3°C High Temp Today:0.9°C at 11:11am Low Temp Today:-0.8°C at 2:28am Dew Point:-0.1°C Dew points were at -2 a few hours back, going to be above freezing soon at this rate, and the precipitation seems to be dying out, doesnt look like the snow will continue to midnight as forecast
  7. I hope so MrsF, I don't fancy sixth form tomorrow. Could do with another day to revise for exams/roll around in the snow
  8. Was getting concerned for the west of the region at how far east the western edge of the snow was receeding. With the western edge having gone from Swindon to Oxford, I thought it might keep receeding, but in the last half an hour, if anything, it has moved west slightly, which is a good sign. Snow still going strong here.
  9. Wow just realised after looking at the Meto radar prediction, that shows snow still over my location at 3AM, that there could still be 6 or more hours of snow. That would be amazing, but not expecting quite that much at the moment. Snow still coming down quite heavily hear, roads looking treacherous.
  10. Cambridgeshire Council Gritter Team latest on Twitter: Weather forecast #grittertwitter suggests there could be up to 6cms of snow and windy conditions - gritting runs now underway again. Sun, 20 Jan 2013 Sounds good!
  11. Yeah same as here then. I will be happy if the snow stays at this kind of rate for the next few hours, but am hoping we can see some bigger flake snow within the next couple of hours and temperatures falling to below freezing in the next hour or two too.
  12. Snow really coming down heavily now, a few more hours of this and I may get a day off tomorrow. I'm in Sawtry, how's St Ives doing?
  13. Some heavy snow developing in the region now and in the SE, some places are going to get hammered in the next few hours
  14. Hi TEITS, is the snow struggling to settle where you are. Do you think as temperatures fall and the snow potentially intensifies that all surfaces will start to get covered? Ground seems pretty wet here now.
  15. Same here MrsF, but if the precipitation continues to intensify and temperatures continue to fall, it could change later, hopefully anyway.
  16. Snow accumulating well on the already frozen surfaces from fridays snowfall, but snow refusing to settle on the roads and some paths. Looks like the snow is deciding to develop just to my north, how annoying.
  17. Still light snow, has struggled to settle due to how light its been, plus temperatures have been above freezing. 0.9 degrees 30 minutes ago, now 0.6 degrees, hopefully can fall below freezing before any heavier precipitation arrives.
  18. Same here, close to being a 6, struggling to accumulate currently, hope we can get some better snow later, looks reasonably likely.
