  1. Same here, really coming down now, struggling to settle on some of the wet surfaces, but temps should drop a little soon, and the intensity may increase a little more, so should all settle soon I reckon.
  2. Radar looking great, band intensifying all the time. Snow gradually getting heavier here, still light at the moment though.
  3. Thanks for a great answer SK . It's all certainly going to make for an interesting day of weather. @MarcB the band seems to be moving fairly quickly, I would guess between 12 and 2 for it to reach our region.
  4. Snowking, am I right in thinking that the second band of snow is expected to pass through the region from about lunchtime through the afternoon, before moving back over East Anglia for a second time this evening/night? Is this due to the LP to the south east?
  5. Good current conditions here in Peterborough: Dry, Night time Current Temp: -0.3°C High Temp Today:0.6°C at 12:00am Low Temp Today:-0.3°C at 6:34am Dew Point:-0.6°C Wetbulb:-0.4°C Humidity:98% Pressure:1015.0 mb Hopefully temperatures dont rise too much through the day. On another note: Met office outlook for today: Today: Initial snow, mainly light, will clear away eastwards. Drier and brighter conditions will temporarily follow, before further snow spreads east this afternoon. The snow may become locally heavy. Expected accumulations generally 2-5cm, but locally 5-10cm across Norfolk and north Cambridgeshire. Maximum Temperature 1 °C. Sounds good for all of the region, but particularly my area, think there needs to be amber warnings from the met very soon.
  6. SNOWWWW . About a cm, more than expected. First band set to clear my location soon, but then the second band to hopefully bring more snow
  7. interesting, will have to go and look out of the window in a minute then , should reach here soon.
  8. Judging by the radar this first front is moving towards us faster than expected, and over the last half an hour or so it does appear to be intensifying. Could well widely provide a dusting for the region, unlike the BBC forecast a couple of hours ago which showed it fizzling out completely in the midlands, worth keeping an eye on.
  9. The eastern edge of the precipitation from the main band now only 20 miles to my west, to me it looks like its become a little more organised on its eastern edge in the last half an hour or so. Interesting theory about the precipitation becoming more intense, talk of this in the midlands thread too. At this rate, it needs to intensify if we are going to see any kind of covering tonight from it as it is currently just snizzle, but could leave some surprised in the morning if it does intensify.
  10. haha, looks like a little very light snow for Norfolk, but the showers aren't moving much and fizzling pretty quickly from what I can see.
  11. Just: http://www.netweathe...on=radar;sess=. Too cheap to buy NW extra, but it is probably worth paying the £3.50 a month or whatever it is for the fantastic radar you get.
  12. Watch out for the precip in the wash, I thought it would die out like the rest of it, but seems to be moving inland, might be good for a very light shower.
  13. Blob of precipitation moving in from the wash, heading my way, will it get this far, will be watching the radar closely. Yeah, the presenter did say that the snow would move back over Cambridgeshire so will be interesting tomorrow seeing how this materializes.
  14. Not liking the BBC weather forecast just now. No precipitation at all showing from the first band, then a lot of rain from the second band before a little snow in the late hours tomorrow, still feeling reasonably confident for at least some lying snow over the next 48 hours
  15. Do we expect the first band of precipitation to reach EA? I have seen forecasts where it fizzles out completely before reaching EA, but others where we see a couple of hours of light snow from it. If it does reach our region, what sort of time do we expect? Seems very slow moving so around midnight would be my guess.
  16. I'd go with East Anglia, but its completely up to you which thread you follow/participate in. I'm borderline between East Anglia And Midlands, so just read both threads.
  17. Sounds good . Without trying to sound too IMBY, judging from what I have seen in the models etc, I do think the North and West of the Region, ie Cambridgeshire, is in the best position to see the biggest accumulations, particularly of the EA/SE region anyway, but it certainly isn't set in stone where will do the best yet.
  18. I'd say its unlikely, I think those showers will fail to move far inland, I could be wrong though.
  19. Should definitely help keep the precipitation as snow rather than sleet/rain to have elevation of 160m. I think Herts/Beds will do well out of tomorrow anyway.
  20. Nice suprise coming out of the gym of it snowing albeit extremely lightly. Nice warm up for the fun tomorrow.
