    The 18z run brings the Northerly back reaching all parts!

    It’s a shame there’s not much precipitation about to enjoy those uppers.

    So clearly the Met Office don’t see any issues with the Northerly reaching all parts in the period up to 19th January. Lets see if the models continue to weaken the Northerlies or revert back to earlier output.

    It looks finely poised. Squeaky bum time for Southerners! We don’t want to see the cold Arctic air fail to reach us when the low attacks from the SW!

    I don’t like the “wetter” mention for southern regions. Rather it just say snowy.

    Pretty much in line with current output. Mainly dry and cold with snow showers for the lucky few.

    I’m sure the intense cold pool over Scandinavia won’t go unnoticed by the models and have some say over our weather in coming weeks. Just my opinion.

    The GFS ensembles still showing the drop with the Northerly although any longetivity is in question.

    Could be a classic cold air undercutting scenario here turning the rain increasingly to snow.

    A bit like how the ECM op hinted earlier. Theres too many variables to get to the optimal solution that we’ve been seeing. If there’s one thing that will destroy it - it will.
