  1. Yesterday's 12z ecm for next Wed's compared to today's 12z for the same day. MUCH better. Look at the difference with regards to the pv.
  2. Oh dear! I should have known with the total absence of any comments about it.
  3. We have fog. Winter will arrive in approx 3 weeks. Simple as.
  4. Not bad pressure anomalies from the cfs as we end Nov and begin Dec. In line with meto updates for the same period.
  5. Ha ha ha that is such a funny post....... In a good way. So true as well.
  6. Indeed. We got a little spoilt with that GFS pearler of a run but this from ECM is well....... Shall we say far from the usual mid November atlantic dross we usually have to suffer.
  7. I don't think I will be the only one getting excited by charts like this.
  8. Wow that's a cracker. I remember seeing the 1927 archive years ago but I had forgotten. Don't know how
  9. I'm 'hoping' for something similar this coming Christmas. One can hope. We are seriously overdue a seasonal one.
  10. Well nobody could ever blame you for being a little pessimistic after all the let downs over the years. I always seem to have some optimism at this time of year but then come late February I just think......What a fool I am
  11. I'm quite cheered by that news. I've noticed how chilly and possibly quite snowy early December's fizzle out into anti-climax by mid to latter half of December's with regards to cold. Let's have the fun and games for the Xmas period for a change.
  12. Quite a big change on this morning's ECM op. Another warm end to October?
  13. Yes, I love to see the Atlantic lows being knocked onto their backsides so to speak - what most would call negatively tilted lows. I remember looking years ago at the archives for early Nov 62 and seeing this rare phenomenon. I kept looking out year after year for these negative tilted beauties and then Nov 2009 came along and hey presto. The rest is history. We are certainly seeing those same signs again in the present modelling. Interesting times.
