  5. It's quite typical really - many people on here don't seem to be especially interested in the weather, unless there's the prospect of snow.
  6. But as we all know, the 06z and 18z are 'binnable' model runs ..............
  7. General approach to Corbyn's forecasts is to invert them - when he predicts snow, it'll be mild and vice versa. So if he's now forecasting no sign of cold you expect one hell of a cold winter.
  8. Links not working - here's a selection of Lapland cams: http://www2.liikennevirasto.fi/alk/english/kelikamerat/kelikamerat_5.html
  9. Well said. You know they say that Christmas gets earlier every year? Well, so does the petty bickering on this forum.
  10. Wow, never seen that much before. And for those who are interested in how/why it's formed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_foam
  11. Quite. Something of a damp squib really - didn't expect much in the way of storms to be honest, but even the rain lessened as it moved into south Wales. Truly pathetic.
  12. Some pretty heavy rain approaching South Wales right now - will be interesting to see if we get any storms.
  13. As for forecast winter freeze-ups, remember not to read too much into individual runs; look at the general trend and pattern, don't fixate on whether the temp is up or down a degree or two, or if the high pressure is 50 miles further east or west.
  14. Same here! One of the perils of living in the countryside is that farmers spread muck from time to time, so it's often the case that you get nice fine weather for sitting outside, but you can't because of the stink. There IS a way around this - farmers can inject the slurry directly into the soil, so there is no smell at all. But of course, they can't afford the necessary new equipment .....
  15. I think that my calendar must be wrong - it says it's July yet the temp is currently 13C and it feels like late bloody autumn. Sheesh.
  16. Steady rain here too - not heavy. But, of course, wet (funny that!). Still we at least managed a dry day yesterday .............
  17. Weather alert ............ it's NOT raining! Be still my beating heart .................
  18. Get them to sell that caravan, pronto. We may get some dry sunny weather then ................
  19. Don't tempt fate! Lousy here, as usual. Rain, rain, rain, rain, rain ................... etc.
  20. No, far too much hassle, I only say it in moments of frustration with our lousy weather.
