  1. Thanks for that , though even with the forecast not expecting anything too severe even though one rumble is one to many for me and the BBC still going for heaviest rain NE England middle of the night
  2. of course he did say heaviest rain further north as well , I'll be well unhappy if anything comes of this considering I just mowed the garden and was expecting very little rain
  3. Carol Kirkwood did mention on the BBC breakfast forecast of Thunderstorms for Northern England and Southern Scotland For Tomorrow perhaps somebody else could shed light on
  4. BBC news has a chance of a line of heavy and thundery showers moving W to E through midlands to Eastern England tomorrow afternoon make of that what you will , not convinced myself
  5. NO definitely not lol edit - estofex level 3 for parts of Germany and evne though they show symbols over UK not even a mention boo or yay depending on your point of view
  6. just got back up , thought i did quite well but I did take a few more steps than usual didn't look out of windows for obvious reasons used an old mp3 player with earphones to drown out any noise with britney spears songs then just laid down and let it pass which I thought it did pretty swiftly the one BIG thing that I thought helped was that for the last 4 or 5 days until yesterday I didn't visit this thread kept myself occupied with other things and didn't let myself get worked up days before possible event that I thought made the biggest difference and if this happens again for which i hope it doesn't then I'll repeat all these steps worked this time and should also work in the future
  7. yep I'm still here and it all looks to have cleared north from my location still fun and games for those further north
  8. nope not a the moment latest bbc forecast had whole mass of thundery rain from east to w moving don't think they'll change that now considering it's a big departure from their own bbc weather site
  9. I'm actually doing relatively well because there doesn't seem to be much at the minute and If i do see any I expect them to move fairly quickly so fine at the moment
  10. yes as I have been told by many family members over the years wait for it don't watch for it as it might circumvent me altogether and I'll get worked up for nothing but it's become a habit in these types of situation and habits are hard to break even if you know you shouldn't doing it and I am not offended in anyway edit - corrected an over sensitive profanity filter
  11. well logic dictates that as the warm front is already to my north when the cold front catches it up I should be in less volatile situation my south correct or am I clutching at straws
  12. mainly IC IC lightning but on the rare occasions they CG i think it's stronger
  13. warm front effective cold front as of 9.30pm edit warm front = red line effective cold front = blue line they don't appear to be hanging around do they perhaps met office graphics of major activity moving into N England by 2am could be quite accurate picture lifted from torro facebook so credit goes to them
  14. it's possibly the warm front the leading edge of the moist air bearing in mind that most of the activity will be in Northern england by 2am and 3am whilst clearing in the south possibly
  15. they are moving quite quickly too not sure how fast someone else probably has an idea
  16. they're moving north the ones from north wales heading to Merseyside and line going eastwards are firing along the warm front going north and they travelling quite quickly too lets hope later ones are just as quick
