does look like it GFS has it a little more E than before unless I'm reading it wrong which could be a possibilitiy knowing me and well as I do

and looking at that model it indicates that it is more focused over E/SE parts just like the rest doesn't mean there won't be heavy showers with the odd rumble elsewhere , I just cannot see the same activity of that severity or as widespread as was 3rd July

you can tell that things have downgraded according to the models , not by the posts in here but by the lack of them

I'm not criticizing anyone here but models should not be discounted just because they don't show preferred outcomes edit - seems to a be a focus of storms more across E/SE areas from late evening onwards met office only has light rain in early hours for my area

not that I want a storm but IF i did I think both have possibilities but I'd plump for cambridge

i don't like them either but a financail tip don't buy earplugs as some chemist convinced me to do as they are about as effective of blocking out noise as a tea towel is off preventing a tidal wave

yep the storms on the 1st and 3rd of July I think were well warned at least 2 days in advance for some due to all the heat humidity that had been building for a few days the warm humid air tomorrow will be arriving in the evening I think as the daytime warmth is subsiding and wont be hanging around either but I am surprised there's no warning about the strength of the wind considering the time of year the wind speed may be typical for october/november but not July GFS 12z looks to have diluted the precipitation a little bit at first glance and cape / LI looks less widespread too and the storm risk reduces quicker too through the evening after 9pm although not dying completely except Eastern england

if it shifts eastward from your location you'll need a boat to go out into the North Sea

BBC this morning showing rain and lightning symbols across most of england and wales but after last friday I'd take that with a very large pinch of salt

a little yes it was initially only northern england southern scotland now wales midlands northwards but still with the focus the further north you go of course looking at the radar you would'nt believe that either but things can change again
