  1. offer accepted , I do admit though that apart from 3rd and 5th July really haven't seen much in the way of electrical activity so do consider myself quite lucky in that regard this summer and even if tomorrow does deliver something I will still consider it a good summer from my particular point of view , I'm also quite pleased that the days are shorter as well although not sure how much impact that will have on the weather tomorrow but I hated the long days and seeing these shorten does cheer me up no end but I am drifting off topic so I will leave it there
  2. if that comes off as they say storms should develop over you then go north into northern england where most seem to agree the worst of the weather will be , I for one will be willing the storms to develop over you as I don't class myself as North Midlands so hopefully will miss but I will wish good luck to those that want them and those that don't YES WE DO EXIST that we all get what we want
  3. people might be able to comment more if you stated your location Oh and as a counterweight to those hoping for storms I HOPE WE DON'T GET ANYTHING lol
  4. there is a chart showing possible potential for saturday Northern England and the Midlands which you should take with a pinch of salt , if you cannot find it that's because it's the model thread which of course IS THE IDEAL place for convective discussion
  5. well some MIGHT get there wish this weekend for heat or storms ? considering this has been pushed on the main page and elsewhere since last weekend after the so called failure of last THURSDAY / FRIDAY this forecast should cheer some up but it's still 3 days away and models appearing to be chopping and changing every run to some degree I won't hold my breath on this coming to pass
  6. hopefully you shouldn't see much in the way of thundery activity I can't completely rule it out but you might get rain and that stuff in the SE shouldn't reach you , quite frankly it shouldn't reach me and I'm 70 miles further East and just so yuo know I don't like them either
  7. YEP BBC just covering themselves with that spread of graphics even though East Anglia could get hit from that in the SE most of it still currently over the water moving north and most precipitation forecasts show that easing between 2100 and 0000 of course take that as you will
  8. I would say so yes after that in the SE moves northwards their attention moves to the rainband out west which is due to move eastwards tomorrow and could generate thunder downpours in the E/SE tomorrow afternoon
  9. latest bbc forecast has the main attention according to them focusing more on the north and west overnight with some locally torrential rain this appears to be than band from sw England wales going upto into sctoland they also show some lightning symbols for much of england but I suspect that's a bit overdone their grpahics don't match what they say on their own forecast then for tomorrow this band move from west to east not really amounting to much until the afternoon when locally heavy and thundery downpours are possible again in SE england and east anglia as front goes through something they're keeping there eye on so stay tuned
  10. if it follows it current track could clobber east anglia GFS 12z had it just to the east of the coast the 06z had it slightly further west perhaps lightning struck the fence they were holding onto problem solved at a strike sorry meant stroke
  11. at the moment yes even the showers that are to my SE look destined to avoid me so all good so far I'll just see how it goes
  12. the models do not dictate the weather the models do not dictate the weather the models do not dictate the weather the models do not dictate the weather the models do not dictate the weather the models do not dictate the weather the models do not dictate the weather the models do not dictate the weather the models do not dictate the weather the models do not dictate the weather the models do not dictate the weather
  13. I think it would be a case of just wait and see probably the best way
  14. even if we are in unstable air I still think it was said that it needs to be warmer than it is to trigger maybe not showers but storms or is that a rather simplistic view of current situation
  15. GFS 12z doesn't look a lot different for precipitation haven't checked the rest
  16. sorry for the question but what bearing does this have i tried looking it up but has left me little wiser looks like the women's test match in canterbury could be off again soon
  17. looks like the same areas that were hit this morning are going to be hit again and with an amber warning as well I hope everybody down there stays safe
  18. things seem to firing just in time for the amber warning in the South East still dull and boring here but I'm not complaining
  19. yeah i was just outside overcast chilly breeze and if i was going out i'd be taking a coat and the other two thousand strikes have been by french workers of some sort not sure which lot is striking this week
