  1. hope so too but it's all up in the air even at this late stage but even if i'm unlucky enough (my opinion) to see some it's all gone by Saturday as these plumes don't seem to last like they used to To be honest I'm less worried about the more persistant thundery rain than the storms that might develop ahead of it don't know why I am but I am At least the Met Warning only mentions lightning not frequent Lightning , a very small crumb of comfort on a unrelated note can't believe how close to the longest day we are , days are soon to be drawing in again
  2. just seen the met weather warning very localised storms then more general rain and thunder later for friday , suspect I'm just on the northern edge of this really hopes it moves south again (prepares for incoming fire)
  3. for any that are not sure what a MCV is (probably not many if any) apart from me https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesoscale_convective_vortex
  4. yep the more extended outlook beyond 6-15 days also has the thundery weather mentioned but just like the 6-15 mainly the further SE one goes , tamara mentioned in the model thread that the humid air will brush the SE , if people are expecting warm humid air to charge north up the country the 90% of the country are in for a disppointment end of this coming week
  5. By England You mean the south/south east can't see it getting further north than that , if it happens at all as it's 5 days away yet which is an eternity in weather terms , may as well bet on jimmy white winning a snooker world championship
  6. to be fair the BBC didn't show much until 5am then starting E of IOW moving NE across SE England And East Anglia Clearing coast late morning the possibly more intense showers in SE this Afternoon
  7. yep could be some good ones down that way later me at the moment haven't gone to bed decided to watch knight rider and I hope there's nobody here aged just 18 or they'll think knight rider is some sort of new watch edit - since i didn't quote i was referring to the SE
  8. according to the met forecast on there website showers will pull away to the north seas sometime this morning then more severe one will develope in the SE this afternoon due to the heat still been in the east before cold front arrives
  9. that'll be the trains edit - that's was a good line until the false positive
  10. Nothing is expected to be further West quoting BBC yet again storms heading to SE and places East of IOW moving NE in East Anglia and SE corner which is expected get worse as daytime heating occurs
  11. well your practically directly North of me and the BBC shows storms East and SE of me and especially East Anglia and the south East during next few moving NE better luck the further E or SE you go
  12. just watched the latest bbc news 24 forecast which pretty much affirms what you said that storms are making a beeline for the South East and places east of the isle of wight to lincolnshire eastwards are in firing line which is good news for them and also good news for me because i appear to be out of direct firing line
  13. E of isle of wight suits me fine especially if they move NE
  14. I think elevated storms also have more intercloud lightning as well
  15. yeah I think that stunt dog from BGT has more chance of been forgiven
  16. that might be true on that side of the country but not on the western side me I'm hoping I'm too far west got fingers toes and everything else I can cross crossed
  17. doesn't wait in the SW long and not sure it changes much for me but boy in the SE humidity due to go thorugh the roof , personally think it's warm enough already glad this is brief as my local funfair is here and dodging lightning while eating burgers is not on my todo list
  18. looks like im in the isolated catergory , those in East Anglia must be hoping things go there way tomorrow
  19. wonder If I'm in for a battering or a slight skirmish personally think It's borderline but I'm hoping for the latter (before any possible griping not that I believe anybody would an anti storm post was well overdue)
