Firstly, the php can be called in html no problem. A small line of code can be added to the .htaccess file to allow it. I have never had that issue with any other hosting comany in 10 years. Secondly, I can't rename the page to a php extension because the software that processes the file and uploads it, keeps it as a .htm extension, it'll overwrite the .php extension every time. Hence why AddType application/x-httpd-php .html .htm is used. Thirdly, it is not forcing anything, it is a standard practice for anyone who faces similar issues. There's plenty of professional sites that offer this kind of workaround. I'm not running a business for profit, so I couldn't care less about seo rankings.

I've decided to change web site hosts - on a trial. Loved my old one, but they will not do one simple thing that I have requested, and it causes me problems when it comes to retrieving data to show on graphs and tables. I have no idea why they refuse, but i've just uploaded my entire site to another host, and i'm testing it out on their server. If all goes according to plan, i'll do a full switch-over. I'm expecting problems though!

Davis Vantage Vue - Help needed getting online.
Mapantz replied to HighPressure's topic in Weather stations and equipment
Weather Display and Cumulus have their own sets of templates. So, as soon as you have hosting, you can initiate the software to upload those web templates, and then you and everybody else can view them. This is the standard web template that Cumulus offers: http://home2.btconnect.com/peterrandle/Weather/index.htm -

Just buy a cheap notebook or laptop and keep it running permanently. It doesn't use a lot of power. Or get an rPi. I keep my gaming pc on all the time as it runs Cumulus. If you want near-realtime data (like mine) you'll need to purchase some web hosting. -
That all depends on where you live i'm afraid. I see nothing in the short to medium term for where I live, that excites me. Anything coming from the NW/N is really just an insult for this geographical position. It doesn't matter how cold the uppers are, it's just watered down at the surface. I remember checking the current uppers last weekend, and it was showing -7 to -8, and I didn't even manage a frost. It needs to be slack pressure with cold uppers to create some nice sub-zero temperatures, or an Easterly, nothing else will cause any excitement.

Model Output Discussion - cold spell to end Autumn
Mapantz replied to Paul's topic in Forecast Model Discussion
I'm seem to remember @Nick L saying that he couldn't understand why they were showing all of that snow, as the EC precip model he has access to, showed nothing like those amounts. -
It was looking like that from the beginning lol That aside, it looks like another terrible week of weather. The forecast has completely changed in the space of 12 hours. I caught a weather bulletin while I was in bed last night..today was meant to be glorious, and clear tonight. It was overcast all day, and it still is now. Apart from Friday, it's meant to be gloomy all week. I keep reading on here how it has been such a good end to Autumn and start to Winter in terms of cold. I'm guessing none of these people record their own weather data, because it was far colder at the end of Autumn and beginning of Winter last year. I'd also had 7 air frosts up until this point last year. This year it has been 1.

Model Moans, Ramps and Banter

If that chart were to verify exactly like that, it would bring rain to Southern counties, snow for parts of Wales and the North-Midland's. On that basis, I do not like it one iota!
