  1. The Blaak cam is great - the lightning is really highlighting the structure now! And if that ain't a supercell I'm a Dutchman hahahahaha
  2. Hmm, is our little friend moving to the right? Seems to be coming inland now. We have GOT to train our channel storms better, look how easy it is!
  3. Oh dear, just watching the Channel developments and they do seem to be trundling along the same track as the previous lot now heading into Holland. Boo and hiss.
  4. Wow, just like August last year (I was nr Zaltbommel) - 6hrs of serious storm action from large marble size hail, torrential rain and constant lightning. I think the whole thing stretched from N France into Germany!
  5. Poor lad, I know what it's like as I have an Aussie early warning system in place! Sound sensitive dogs are such worried souls, especially as you have to learn what triggers their anxiety - I've known collies who hated drills, dustcarts, bin liners being shaken open, etc (but not thunder in those cases).
  6. I know this sounds daft but was watching the Bruges webcam and I swear a bloke walked across carrying a whole pig......must be one heck of a BBQ later!
  7. One lives in hope of course - July last year didn't start until about 1.30am properly, but that was a lovely conveyor belt moving in a more N-S direction!
  8. Takes me 30 mins to get to Thetford! Meantime I have friends in Middleburg (north coast of Holland) - would love to be on the beach enjoying the view right now!
  9. I think you have more chance than me tbh unless something miraculously appears over Thetford!
  10. Doubt it, it's all heading NE into the North Sea and of course Benelux....
  11. People in Lowestoft/Yarmouth etc should get a decent light show in a while. I'm just putting my camera etc back in its box until the next non-next time
  12. Strange isn't it, just come off the tractor after topping some fields and had to put on joggers and a hoodie cos I felt cold after being in shorts and a top!
  13. Certainly brighter but my washing is stubbornly refusing to dry properly *sigh*
  14. We know that Carol can effectively negate any chance of decent storms Thank goodness she didn't mention the "H" word hehe! Anyone know the spell to dissipate an MCS? God they are a complete waste of space up here....
  15. Smiley Carol pinpointed Kent, Essex and Suffolk just now - bad luck chaps
  16. NOOOOO! No MCS - it's always a big fat murky nothing up here!
  17. My only beef with an MCS is that generally these days it just means left over clag and murky conditions!
  18. 97mm for me, somehow I think I'll get through the 100mm mark this month!
  19. Back to default Norfolk summer again - grey and drizzly Freezing cold at a dog show on Sat nr Ely requiring over trousers, wellies, fleece and waterproof coat, warm and sunny at same venue on Sunday! We haven't even enjoyed much of the thundery activity either apart from the rain - 84mm for June already. So looking forward to Ibiza in September!
  20. Another four rumbles of thunder this week, I am being spoilt! However my June rainfall total is getting silly - 84mm.
