  1. BBC updated the forecast for Swindon 40 minutes ago - Still going for a snowy theme with no rain in sight yet.
  2. Agreed!! I'm goig to be too scared to check this thread in the morning Just incase anything's changed <.< Currently -4C.
  3. We're only down for light snow here in Swindon, although we seem to be in the right place here to see something. I'm in no way an expert, but I'd give it a day or so before you make up your mind, as things are likely to change more.
  4. Seems like Wilts may still be a good place for some snow on Friday, let's just hope that some of the others in here can get some too! Seeing as that is still 3 days away, I'm not looking into it too much. That way I can't get annoyed if it changes. -3.3C here, feeling very cold outside.
  5. I would atleast wait a little while. Things could dpossibly change between now and Friday (:
  6. I really can't see -18C coming off next Wednesday at lunchtime...That would be crazy! Temperature here is dropping off still, all be it more slowly. -2.6C and dropping slowly.
  7. 2-5cm's at low levels, with 10cms on high ground. I'm guessing just a rough estimate and details will firm up nearer the time.
  8. -2C already here. I can see ice being a real problem tomorrow. As for Friday, let's hope it doesn't change!
  9. Ha, I told them Sunday. They know never to believe me until they see it when it comes to snow though. Temperature has been dropping off very fast in the last hour, currently at 1C. Looking very chilly here tonight!
  10. Hey all, just logged on and going to catch up on the previous pages. Any changes on Fridays potential snowfall? Thanks! Currently 1.8C, but temperatures rose to 5.1C earlier!
  11. Me too. Let's just hope that their right. Currently -0.7C here. May struggle to rise above freezing. Seeing as the temperature has now dropped to -1.4, warming up doesn't seem to be favourable here at the moment. It's going to be a problem for people getting to work, and school with the amounf of ice around.
  12. Agreed, though still plenty of time to change. I don't think we wil be right in the firing line from current predictions, but as said many times, as to be taken with a pinch of salt at this range
  13. Nice to see the BBC's forecast for Swindon has been changed for the better. Not saying much this far out on snow, but Wednesday through to Friday look to be below freezing! Very cold indeed.
  14. I don't want to get too happy for Friday, when it could possibly change - Maybe for the better, or for the worse, but I must say, I am very exited at the possibility. Let's just hope that the cold air sticks around for a few days atleast after so we can enjoy it! (if we get it) Current temp 2.2C
  15. I can understand your point, but the places predicted temperatures of around 5C are in the extreme SouthWest. There are some places that may well see ice days from Tomorrow through Thursday, I guess it all depends on location and elevation. Here in Swindon, the high for the next few days is 1C, with 0C for Thursday. That does seem quite extreme, and not to mention we could see minus double figures in some rural spots on Wednesday night.
  16. Temperatures today got a lot higher here than forecast. 4.5C was the daily high. The dusting of snow was washed away by the rain, though I think there may be a severe ice risk tomorrow with temperatures to get below zero overight.
  17. It started snowing here in Swindon at about 11PM last night. It was very light, but it was still snow. I woke up this morning pleasantly surprised to see about a centimeter of snow covering the wheeliebins and cars. It's not buch, but it's something!
  18. Looks like more showers are pepping up over Wales. Let's hope these can get further than the first band without fizzling to nothing. Just goes to prove how things can change, even just a few hours before an event.
  19. It's not gone, just fizzling out I think. it's been doing so for the past hour or two when it came over Wales.
  20. They must know soemthing that we don't. It's looks like the front it weakening...maybe a second band behind it will form? Who knows?
  21. Very reassuring! Thankyou. I guess It's just a case of waiting and seeing now. I think I've seen two flakes so far. Not obsessed or anything.
  22. It's fizzling out so fast I doubt we will see any here. Can only hope I guess.
  23. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/feeds/21003935 I don't think this has been posted yet. This is what the week looks set to be like as it stands, though I'm guessing something will change for the better or worse.
