  1. Looking at the NMM4 3-4pm today could be when we get some snow.
  2. The cold and snowy theme continues on the models today - get ready, it's coming...
  3. Its all snow for Ireland/wales so very much doubt it will be rain.
  4. We don't have to wait that long for that, snow for Northern Ireland/SW/Midlands/Northern England at day 1!
  5. I'm not dismissing it, obviously the vortex is nothing like it was last year and it being weak is certainly helping. There was just a few posts last week of people writing of weeks/months of the winter for cold because there was no SSW.
  6. Hello I'm sure you will all get some snow tomorrow, models look great!
  7. My parents are in west cork this week on holiday, (my mums irish) and it does seem to snow very rarely there, especially on the coast. But Tuesday is looking interesting.
  8. The cold and snowy theme continues on the models today, with no mild weather in sight. A week ago today, people were talking about how it was going to be mild and zonal for the rest of January, and were writing of cold as we didn't have a SSW. There is still no SSW and yet we are looking at a week at least of cold and snow, possibly longer than that if the GFS is too be believed. It goes to show how predicting more than a week out in the UK is very difficult, and the people posting day 10-16 charts last week as proof of the mild zonal weather continuing, might finally realize this, can't say holding my breath though
  9. BBC forecast didn't look good, no precipitation about around here really.
  10. SW Ireland looks good for snow
  11. widespread snow for our region Tuesday evening, if gfs 18z is correct
  12. yeah hopefully spring 2015 is warm and sunny
  13. I can't see how people find strong winds interesting.
  14. not sure what to make of Tuesday, looks too far west.
  15. I'm confused, why do you keep posting perturbation 16?
  16. Plenty of time for change though Ian, since it's 15 days away?
  17. Unlike other cold spells the models have shown, the met office are firming up on this one during late next week into the weekend. Expect the models to upgrade in terms of cold and snow over the next couple of runs with the jet diving south. Snow to lower levels in the south looks possible.
  18. I've had snow and I'm at 130m yeah it looks like a frontal event
  19. KAYRO, I REMEMBER ON BOXING DAY YOU SAID THE SAME, SHEFFIELD ENDED UP GETTING 15CM WITH A COVERING LASTING ALL WEEK FOR MANY PARTS IN THE NORTH.
  20. LOL NO SNOW TUESDAY LOOKS BETTER
  21. YEAH COLD IS THE THEME BASED ON THE ECM, GFS, UKMO - MILD WEATHER NO WHERE TO BE SEEN.
