Actually looks better than I expected some lucky spots could see between 3 to 9 hours of snow. But it changes every run so like you said good old radar watch is best.

Met not making much of Friday's snow risk 1-3cm and patchy. But they been wrong before and still plenty of time for change. Cold looks like hanging on for longer, nice frost and dandruff this morning.

Hard to say its finally balanced. Its all about that front and if it keeps its intensity wich is 50/50. Clearly its going to break up as it pushes South. I think personally NW of the region between 2 to 5cm and places like Buxton getting 10cm plus. Rest of the mids its picking up scraps and a dusting here or there from showers that break of main band.

Icon did best with last weeks snow accumulations. Expect it won't be far off for Friday also. Let's hope Arp can pull it out of the bag this time.

Looks like its predicted to weaken as it the front goes South. Let's hope we get a dusting at least because from Saturday onwards it looks boring and average.

Yh alot of model uncertainty at the moment but looks like a snowy breakdown Thursday and Friday. Next up SSW will it be favorable for our little island.

Gfs collapses around the 8th Jan. We need that SSW to come into play now I fear. But from a imby perspective its been a nice week or so with Snow and many frosts. Sure this will just be a mild blip before the SSW kicks in. Writing was always on the wall when the UKMO, ECM and Icon all backtracked away from the Greenland high scenario shame as it could of been epic. -

This will all be resolved soon i expect GFS to shift towards ECM/ICON. I think a half way house is probably the most likely solution but with the impending SSW lots of wild model runs will continue as they try to sort this mess out. -
Sucks some where unlucky. Hopefully GFS will be right and we all see some snow.

Gfs sticking to its guns on latest run. But I believe you will be right anyway if UKMO and ECM are right wich looks likely it will be short lived hopefully. Even more important to get out and enjoy the weather we have now. 6 days of lying snow is not to shabby and still at least 5 days of cold left.

Woww just seen the gfs 18z and it would bury the Midlands. But for balance ECM earlier wasn't as good. But I will be praying for the GFS to be right tonight just wowww

In West Brom tonight but partner also text to say its snowing there also lol. Near Asda by Wolverhampton Road for future reference.
